Might As Well Fest V (October 18/19, London UK) announces final lineup

London’s Might As Well Fest is back for their fifth edition this year, and takes place at New Cross Inn on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October 2019.

The festival have announced their final lineup today with the addition of h_ngm_n, Mixtape Saints, Megaflora, Tom Aylott and Stew Gush. Weatherstate and Crazy Arm are the respective Friday and Saturday headliners.

Might As Well Fest announce first bands for 2019

London’s Might As Well Fest has announced the first stream of acts for it’s fifth edition. The annual event will once again take place at The New Cross Inn over October 18 and 19. As with every year, MIAWF will be supporting a charity with proceeds this time going to Heads Above The Waves.

So far, Weatherstate have been announced as headliners for the Friday, and Crazy Arm for the Saturday. The Burnt Tapes, Fintan Stack, Weblessthismess and Pacer are also among those performing.

El Topo Goes Loco (festival, Belgium) announce first wave of bands

The European punk rock festival season just seems to get better and better every year. Adding to the ever filling summer schedule is El Topo Goes Loco, a smaller festival in Belgium. The weekend celebration of grassroots punk rock, reggae and ska have announced the first wave of bands that will make up this year’s lineup. The bands featured are: The Toasters, Altitude, Gert Kleinpunk, Crazy Arm, Great Cynics, FOD, Popes of Chillitown, Prince Beastly and Almeida.

The event will take place in Jeugdhuis Tydeeh, Belgium and tickets are available on May 26 and 27, 2017. You can find out everything you need to know, including ticket information, from the festival’s Facebook page.

Manchester Punk Festival announced (Wonk Unit, Fair Do’s, Great Cynics, Crazy Arm, The Restarts, etc)

TNSrecords, Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones have announced that they are joining forces to create Manchester Punk Festival on the 17/18 of April 2015. Across two stages on Saturday and supporting gigs across the two days there will be great bands from across the large spectrum of punk rock.

The Restarts, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Almeida, Fair Do’s, Revenge of the Psychotronic Man, Great Cynics, Throwing Stuff and Wadeye are already confirmed for the weekend with more bands to be announced at the start of December.

A limited amount of early bird tickets are now available from the TNSrecords webstore for £10. The remaining tickets will be available from the start of December for £13. There are also various deals available that include t-shirts and hoodies.

TNSrecords is a Manchester based independent punk label that have been putting on gigs for over 10 years.

Moving North have being putting on DIY punk gigs in Manchester since 2009 and are behind the awesome ManchFester all-dayers. They have also recently started a record label.

Anarchistic Undertones also put on loads of DIY punk gigs in Manchester and are involved in the putting on Punx Inna Jungle.

Tour: Great Cynics announce 2012 UK tour dates w/ Crazy Arm & Apologies, I Have None

East London folk-punks Great Cynics just wrapped up a short run of UK tour dates w/ Crazy Arm and Smokey Bastard yesterday and have already announced they will be heading out on another run of UK tour dates in March 2012 w/ Crazy Arm and Apologies, I Have None.

Against Me! sign to Xtra Mile for UK release of “White Crosses”

Against Me! have announced that the UK release of their upcoming double album reissue “White Crosses” will be put out by Xtra Mile Recordings. It will be out on 31 October in both 3 LP and 2 CD bundles, both in tri-fold bundles with a 32 page lyric and art booklet. It will also be available in digital format.

The band are doing a European and UK tour in support with the album, with English folk-punk upstarts Crazy Arm. Against Me! will also play main support for Frank Turner‘s UK tour, all in November. For full dates click here.

Crazy Arm set up camp in mid-2006. Not easy to categorize, their sound is rooted in hardcore/punk, ‘60s protest folk/country and classic rock’n’roll, combined with a grass-roots political overview that embraces anti-war, anti-fascist and pro-community activism.

Crazy Arm releasing new 7-inch, working on new full-length

Plymouth roots-punk quartet, Crazy Arm embark on a UK tour in December with London’s Apologies I Have None. To coincide with the tour, the band will be releasing a double A-side single (7″ vinyl on Gunner Records, digital format on Xtra Mile Recordings). Featuring the Springsteen-esque anthem, ‘Ambertown’, and the bluegrass-influenced ‘Sweet Storm’ – with live guest, Victoria Butterfield, on joint vocals – the single is set for release on 13th December.

The band’s debut album, ‘Born To Ruin’, is out now on Xtra Mile Recordings (Gunner Records in Europe). The band are currently working on songs for their second album, provisionally titled ‘Union City Breath’, scheduled for release in mid-2011.
