Punks In Vegas has posted another session, this time a sit-down with Austin Getz of Turnover along with Eric Soucy of Maker filmed behind an autoparts store and lit by car headlights.  Check out the two playing “Sasha”  and “Earthquakes” here.

As you may or may not know, Massachusetts-based punk act Maker were recently involved in a major car accident while on tour. Several members were injured, one critically. Guitarist Eric Soucy decided to keep going on their tour with Turnover and Major League, playing acoustically, to keep making money for the group.

Maker release statement on injured members after van flip

As you may, or may not know, Massachusetts-based punk act Maker were recently involved in a major car accident, which lead to their van flipping over, while traveling from Mississippi to Texas on tour. Today the band released a statement regarding their recovery from the accident.

Here’s what they had to say:
“Hey just wanted to keep everyone in the loop. Mickey, Raffi, Dave, and Kyle have all been discharged. Brett is still day to day, but has already made amazing progress. Thanks so much everyone for the prayers and support.”

Maker last released a self-titled EP on November 13th via Asbestos Records. We’ll keep you posted as more details on this story surface. For now, we wish the best of luck to the band while they recover.



Maker flip tour van in Texas; one member critically injured

Terrible news from the Maker camp today. It seems the Massachusetts-based punks, who are in the midst of a tour with Major League and Turnover, were traveling from Mississippi to Texas  for tonight’s gig when they unfortunately flipped their SUV over. Here’s guitar player Eric Soucy:

This morning on our way to texas we flipped our vehicle over just outside Dallas. A few of us are injured, one in critical condition, and the vehicle is totaled. Were trying to raise money to help pay hospital bills and a vehicle and equiptment. Any help is appreciated and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
