Florida folk band Fake Problems has been in a weird state of limbo recently, as the band took some time apart to work on solo projects, but I am happy to announce that their new 7-inch, Strange Emotions, is finally available for streaming! It is their first release as a band since their 2013 split 7″ with You Blew It!. Check it out here!

Chris Farren is….well where to begin? The Fake Problems frontman has stepped out from behind the full band setting, such as many punk musicians have before him, and created quite a name for himself as a solo-artist by doing so. Farren’s latest EP “Where U Are” is a dreamy, synth-pop masterpiece that pulls from his more punk background. I had the chance to chat with him about a new Fake Problems record, DIY recording, and the hardships of being a punk rock celebrity at the Philadelphia stop of his tour alongside Dave Hause and Rocky Votolato. You can read the full interview below.

Fake Problems have been in a state of limbo for the past few years, with the band taking a backseat to the member’s other projects. But that doesn’t mean that they’re gone- quite the opposite because the band is gearing up to release Strange Emotions, a brand new two song 7-inch this Friday, August 7, 2015 and they’ve released a stream of a new single, “Holy Attitude,” to boot. You can listen to the song here.
You can pre-order Strange Emotions here. The 7-inch is the band’s first release since their 2013 split with You Blew It!. Their last album, Real Ghosts Caught on Tape, was released in 2010 via SideOneDummy Records.
