The folks over at Guitar World magazine recently asked readers to vote on the Best Guitar Album of 1992. The results are in, and they are quite interesting.

As you might expect given that it was Guitar World running the poll, the final list features not just heavy metal albums, but two punk rock albums that were both released on Epitaph joined the ranks and made a surprising land on number two and number three respectively. Those albums are… The Offspring‘s Ignition and Bad Religion‘s Generator! Congratulations. You can click here to view the rest of the list, or click through here to read the article in its entirety.

How do you think GW readers did? We think they may have left a few off. If you think there’s at least one best “guitar album” from 1992 that could have made it on the list, throw in your comments here.

KROQ posts “Top Ten Albums of the 90’s” list

Guillermo, one of the contributors on the official website of the legendary L.A. radio station KROQ, has posted an interesting list called “Top Ten Albums of the 90’s“. He lists albums by bands like Iron Maiden, No Doubt, Metallica, The OffspringBlink-182 and The Aquabats. Here’s what he had to say:

“The 90’s was more than an era of watching Saved by the Bell Saturday mornings while you used your beeper to communicate with your friends. It was an era full of awesome music that we’ve been playing here on KROQ every weekend and I’ve been loving every minute of it!

I wanted to do something special to commemorate our 90′s weekends, so I pulled out my portable CD player and started listening to all the albums I owned so that I can compile my ton ten albums from the 90’s.”

You can read Guillermo’s complete list of the 10 albums released in the ’90s as well as his by clicking here.
