Yellowcard announce final two shows ever

It’s long been common knowledge that Florida-based pop-punks Yellowcard are calling it a career (for now) in the very near future. The band put out their final (for now) album, “Yellowcard,” on September 30th on Hopeless Records, and scheduled a final (for now) tour that wraps up next week in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The band have now announced plans for two more final (for now) shows that’ll take place in Southern California next year.

March 24th will find the band playing their 2003 album “Ocean Avenue” in its entirety at The Novo in Los Angeles, while the following day will serve as their last-ever (for now) show, and will take place at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, the city where they played their first-ever sold-out show. Head below to see the lowdown on the rest of the last-ever (for now) Yellowcard shows!

Yellowcard announce plans to split up after final tour

Even though their self-titled new album isn’t out yet, Florida pop-punk act Yellowcard have announced that they are going to split up after they finish touring in support of the aforementioned album. The band explains:

“When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news. After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour.”

The dates and locations of the band’s final tour can be seen below.

Yellowcard is due out September 30th on Hopeless Records, their label home for 2011’s When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes and the following year’s Southern Air. Their last album, 2014’s Lift a Sail, was released on Razor & Tie Records.

Yellowcard announce details of forthcoming self-titled full length

Good news for fans of Yellowcard!

The foursome announced details behind their tenth studio album. It’s a self-titled release, and you can check out the cover art right up above these very words. The tracklist is also available and you can check it out below, though on a personal note, I’ve always found it weird when bands release tracklists for a bunch of songs that 99.9% of the population have never heard. But I digress…

Yellowcard is due out September 30th on Hopeless Records, their label home for 2011’s When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes and the following year’s Southern Air. Their last album, 2014’s Lift A Sail, was released on Razor & Tie Records.

Yellowcard resign to Hopeless Records, recording new album

After taking some time to release an album with Razor & Tie Records in 2014, Yellowcard have announced that they will be working once again with the folks over at Hopeless Records, with whom they released 2011’s When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes, 2012’s Southern Air, and 2013’s Ocean Avenue Acoustic.

Additionally the band announced that they have entered the studio to record their next album, which they curiously refer to as their eighth despite the fact that the band currently have nine full length albums under their name, which should logically make a new album their tenth… although it’s a strong possibility that the current incarnation of Yellowcard is so far removed from their original line up that they’ve disowned (for the lack of a better term) their first two LPs.

Regardless of whichever album number the band is currently recording, we’ll keep you posted as more information comes to light. In the meantime, you can watch the short announcement video that the band posted on Facebook here.

Yellowcard last released Lift a Sail in 2014 through Razor & Tie.
