Planes Mistaken For Stars have announced a US tour in June. The band, who returned with a new album, “Prey“, last year on Deathwish, have announced a 12 date US/Canadian tour.

Planes Mistaken For Stars announce US reunion tour, tease plans to release new album

Planes Mistaken For Stars, who broke up back in 2007 and have briefly reunited a few times since, are back again! This time they’re gonna be playing a US reunion tour with the guys in All Eyes West and possibly even releasing a new full-length album.

Check out a full list of dates and locations the band will be playing this summer down below, and stay tuned for more info on the new record, which they are currently in the “early stages of writing.”

Planes Mistaken For Stars announce reunion tour dates

Planes Mistaken For Stars, the formerly defunct Denver-based post-hardcore band, have announced a series of reunion tour dates. Check them out here.

PMFS formed in 1997 and enjoyed a decade-long influential run before calling it quits in 2007 (and 2008). They last played a couple of reunion shows two years ago, including a gig at The Fest 2010 in Florida.

Converge announce April tour with Loma Prieta and Git Some

Converge has announced they will be going on a short run with Loma Prieta and Git Some (ex – Planes Mistaken For Stars) in April. More bands will be meeting up for certain shows, and you can check out the dates and bands here.

Converge released their last album, “Axe to Fall”, in 2009. Their most recent release is a 7″ split with Dropdead, which surfaced last June.

Planes Mistaken For Stars reuniting to play Fest 9

Planes Mistaken For Stars, formerly of No Idea Records, is to getting back together to play Fest 9 this Halloween weekend in Gainesville, FL. They’ll also be playing a gig in Chicago shortly beforehand. Get the full statement from the band and all the details on the shows here.

PMFS performed a surprise reunion last October at The Fest 8 during the Hawks & Doves set when bassist Chuck French and his band, Git Some, joined singer Gared O’Donnel on stage to perform a few songs to a shocked crowd, venue and festival organizers.  You can watch them performing “To Spit A Sparrow” from that set here.
