Craig Owens (Choidos) making acting debut in “K-11”

Chiodos-frontman-slash-D.R.U.G.S.-frontman-slash-solo-artist Craig Owens is adding another “slash” to his resume: professional actor.

It seems Owens is set to make his feature film debut in the upcoming independent drama K-11. The film “deals with the politics of race and gender-identity in the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail.” Owens plays a singer/songwriter in the film, and appears alongside Goran Visnjic (ER), D. B. Sweeney (Hard Ball) and Jason Mewes (“Jay” from the Jay and Silent Bob duo). Check out the trailer here.

Craig Owens returning to Chiodos (maybe, probably)

Alright, so starting last night the internet has been all a twitter with rumors of Craig Owens returning to Chiodos as the group’s lead singer.  Owens was originally kicked out of Chiodos in 2009 and then went on to form D.R.U.G.S. while Chiodos found themselves a new singer in Brandon Bolmer and carried on sans Owens.  Both bands had successful releases since then, especially D.R.U.G.S., but Owens has recently been making announcements that he has new material in the works for an unexpected unnamed project, and now Bolmer has confirmed that he is parting ways with Chiodos.

All in all, it’s looking pretty likely that Owens and his former Chiodos bandmates will be collaborating again.  Whether it will be under the name Chiodos or a new project entirely, we’ll wait to see.
