City and Colour have announced their new album “If I Should Go Before You,” which is set for October 9th release through Dine Alone Records.

City and Colour tease new 9 minute track “Woman”

City and Colour (Dallas Green of Alexisonfire’s solo project) have uploaded some of their first new material since 2013. The group posted a 2 minute teaser of a new upcoming track called “Woman”. The full 9 minute song was premiered on Beats 1, a popular radio show hosted by Zane Lowe. Green also posted the lyrics to this song on his Facebook page, which you can check out here. C&C announced that they have in fact finished tracking their next full-length. The highly-anticipated album will serve as a follow-up to their last album The Hurry And The Harm, which was released in 2013 through Dine Alone Records.

City and Colour finish tracking new full-length

According to a recent post on his/their Facebook page, City And Colour (better known as the solo project of Alexisonfire‘s Dallas Green — get it, ‘cuz his first name’s a city and his last name’s a colour if you’re Canadian) are finished tracking a brand new full-length!

C&C’s last album was 2013’s The Hurry And The Harm, which was released in 2013 via Dine Alone Records. Green was last heard from on last year’s You + Me project (seen above) that features Green and Pink side-by-side and which is actually much better than you might imagine, faithful readers. Lyric Video: City and Colour – “Nowhere, Texas”

Ontario’s City and Colour has just released the lyric video for their track “Nowhere, Texas” and you can check it out below.

On the track, the guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green (for whom City and Colour is an alias) commented:

“Nowhere, Texas” is a new song for you but an old song for me. I recorded it during my session for The Hurry and The Harm. I knew as soon as I listened to it there was a better place for it than the album.

Dallas Green (City & Colour, Alexisonfire) and P!nk form new band You+Me; announce debut album and stream new song “You and Me”

Dallas Green (best known as the mastermind behind City and Colour as well as the former guitarist of Alexisonfire) has formed a new folk band called You+Me (pronounced “you plus me”) with none other than pop singer/songerwriter P!nk. The band will be releasing their debut album, rose ave. later this fall, and to get listeners ready for some brand new music, the duo is also streaming the album’s first single, the aptly titled “You and Me”.

The Bouncing Souls, Lucero, City And Colour announced for Bonnaroo Festival

Get your glowsticks and your mescaline ready, punkers…the Bonnaroo lineup has been announced!

Bonnaroo is known for having increasingly random lineups as the years go on, but this year’s may take the cake. The headliners are Elton John, Kanye West, Lionel Richie (seriously) and Jack White. The lineup also includes the likes of Skrillex, Ice Cube, Neutral Milk Hotel, Mastodon and Meshuggah. Representing the punk scene will be The Bouncing Souls, Lucero and City and Colour. Weird.

More lineup information here…but you’re probably not going. Bonnaroo takes place June 12-15 in Manchester, Tennessee.

Dine Alone Records releases free holiday sampler

Dine Alone Records has released their annual holiday sampler. The 2013 edition feature 22 tracks from artists including FIDLAR, City and Colour, Jimmy Eat World, and even a remastered track by Alexisonfire which will appear on the band’s upcoming box set.

As an added bonus, this year Dine Alone is giving away 20 massive prize packs with music from the label and lots of goodies from Yamaha, Jansport, West 49, Denon, Olloclip, RTRBLZY, HEX and Dine Alone Foods. Anyone who downloads the 2013 sampler and enters their information will instantly be entered into the contest.

City and Colour announces Australian tour

After finishing up sold out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, Dallas Green will bring City and Colour back down under for a more extensive tour.

Here’s what he had to say on his Facebook page,

“I’m coming back to Australia and New Zealand for a NOV/DEC tour – 2 times in 1 year. Can you believe it! I can’t. Excited to get back even though I just got off a plane in Sydney. Haha. Husky will be supporting on these dates.

Here are the details. More info about ticket links and presales and add-ons to tickets will be announced by Friday before the pre-sales go live.”

Pre-sale will run from July 22nd to 23rd, and tickets go on sale to the general public on July 24th.
