Full Album Stream: Big Awesome – “Party On”

A long, long time ago, South Carolina punks Big Awesome were one of the first bands that yours truly ever did a “Dying Scene Spotlight” feature on, mostly because I fell in love with the first material they put out.

The band followed up their debut tracks with their 2012 EP, Birdfeeder, and have finally followed that up with their debut full-length. It’s called Party On, and it’s available to stream in its entirety right here.

Big Awesome’s latest effort is also the band’s debut LP.  Party On will be released on August 7th via Jetsam-Flotsam.  The album is the band’s first release since their 2012 EP, Birdfeeder.

Big Awesome sign to Jetsam-Flotsam Records, announce new LP “Party On”

South Carolina’s Big Awesome (a one-time Dying Scene Spotlight band whom Face To Face‘s Trever Keith once stated remind him of Samiam) have announced plans for an all-new LP. Entitled “Party On,” the album is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2015 release via their new label home, Jetsam-Flotsam Records.

No word on an official release date or anything of that nature at this point, but we’ll keep you posted (they’re a personal fave). You can still check out the “Party On” track “Foliage” right here for a taste of what’s to come.

Free Download: Big Awesome’s new track “Foliage”

South Carolina’s Big Awesome have made a new track, “Foliage,” available for free stream and download. Check it out below.

The track will appear on their upcoming full-length, Party On. More info on that record is forthcoming, so check back. The band will also re-release their 2012 Birdfeeder EP on vinyl and cassette with new artwork and all-new bonus tracks. They’re also scheduled to play this year’s Fest and are on tour for the rest of the summer.



Big Awesome announce US summer tour

Big Awesome to re-release ‘Birdfeeder’ with bonus tracks

South Carolina indie-punkers Big Awesome have signed with German indie-label Happy Little Trees, and their first release with their new home will be a brand new edition of the Birdfeeder EP. The new pressing will be on a one-sided 12-inch and comes with alternate b/w artwork and 2 exclusive bonus tracks. Pre-order information can be found here.

The Birdfeeder EP was originally released in June 2012 digitally and 7-inch vinyl.

South Carolina indie-punkers Big Awesome have taken a little road trip to Orlando to begin recording a new EP that they’ve named “Bird Feeder.”

Band Spotlight: Big Awesome

Another week, another Band Spotlight on a young band that serves as a giant breath of fresh air. According to their label, A-Reaction Records, South Carolina’s Big Awesome range in age from 18 to 20 years old, and they’ve been a band for well under a year. In February 2011, the fellas released their debut EP, “Better Than Numbers,” which we reviewed for you here. The EP’s three songs were enough to attract the attention of Face to Face’s Trever Keith. Keith summoned the band to his Nashville lair to lay down their full-length debut which should be out later this year. Video: Big Awesome post studio jam

South Carolina indie-punkers Big Awesome have entered a Nashville recording studio to lay down their debut full-length, and we’ve got video to prove it. The band have uploaded a four-minute clip of them jamming in studio, checking levels, etc.

Astute observers will note the album’s producer (in the black shirt), who is fairly well-known within the SoCal scene, and his band has an album of their own out in May. Click here to watch for yourself.
