Twopointeight (Swedish punk) enter studio with Brian Fallon

As we already reported here, Gaslight Anthem‘s Brian Fallon will produce Twopointeight‘s new album.  Today, they announced that they have started tracking the new album at the Lakehouse Studios in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Sweden’s Twopointeight released a self-titled album in 2005 and several splits over the years.  The newest release will come out on I Scream Records.

Brian Fallon to produce new Twopointeight album

Brian Fallon is by no means giving up his day job as frontman for Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem, but he is taking his talents to the other side of the soundboard for the first time.

Fallon is slated to produce the forthcoming album from Swedish punk band Twopointeight. Here’s what Fallon had to say about the project: “Twopointeight is one of those bands people absolutely have to hear and see. These guys write songs in a way only few bands can and I’m honored to be doing this project.

Twopointeight will head to New Jersey for the session, which will also feature production credits from The Bouncing Souls’ Pete Steinkopf. The album, tentatively called “Twopointeight III,” will hopefully be ready for an early 2014 release via I Scream Records.
