The Nation Blue stream 2 new albums, “Black” and “Blue”

Australian punk legends The Nation Blue are now streaming 2 new albums in their entirety via the Poison City Records Bandcamp page. You can give them a listen below.

Both albums, titled “Black” and “Blue” respectively, were released on the 14th of October, 2016. These two albums are the first release for The Nation Blue since their 2009 album, “Rising Waters.”

Poison City Records to release “Shuffle and Scrape: A Tribute To Blueline Medic”

If you are Australian then you’ll know exactly how influential Blueline Medic were and still are to the Australian punk / rock scene.  To celebrate just how influential this band have been Poison City Records will be releasing “Shuffle and Scrape: A Tribute to Blueline Medic” featuring tracks from The Nation Blue, A Death In The Family, The Gifthorse, Arrows, Jamie Hay & The Smith Street Band, Jen Buxton, Harmony, Paper Arms, Darren Gibson and Grim Fandango. The album will be released in April on limited edition vinyl with artwork done by Blueline Medic fan and Samiam member, Sergie Loobkoff.

DS Exclusive Interview: The Nation Blue, stream “Higher Form”

Welcome to the final interview in our Spoonfest series!  If you’ve been following the series you’d now almost be bffs with the majority of the bands on the line-up.  Because we like to go out in style, we are polishing off the series today with Australian legends and Spoonfest headliners, The Nation Blue.

The Nation Blue turns 15 in 2011 and we sent a quick Q & A to Matt Weston who tells us about the band, the Australian music scene, and being in the running for the “Best Promotional Video” award in 2011.  You can also stream their killer track, “Higher Form.”  Check out the interview, video and track right here.

Dying Scene Presents: The Nation Blue added to Spoonfest 2011

Well, shit!  We’re totally chuffed to announce that Australian legends, The Nation Blue will be head-lining Spoonfest 2011.  The band will join the likes of the The Quickening, Local Resident Failure, Headaches and Friends With The Enemy and a bunch of other awesome bands for one massive night of Australian punk-rock.  Have a look at the full line-up here.

The show will take place on the 21st of May at The Step Inn in Brisbane, Australia.  For those of you who can’t make it, we’ll be there and we’ll be reporting back.  Get excited!
