Earth Crisis announce “Destroy the Machines” 20th anniversary show

Syracuse, NY’s Earth Crisis have announced a 20th anniversary show for their debut album Destroy the Machines, which was originally released on May 25, 1995 through Victory Records. The show is will be held in the Detroit area in just a few days, and the band will play the album in its entirety. Check out the details below.

Guitarist Scott Crouse on the show: “It’s a cliche thing to say, but it really does feel like only yesterday we were writing and recording ‘Destroy The Machines’. When we play the album live it doesn’t feel like dated material to us, and I think the record is still very relevant today.”

Earth Crisis last released their EP The Discipline this past May through Bullet Tooth Records.

Earth Crisis announce new EP, “The Discipline”

Syracuse, NY’s Earth Crisis have announced that they will be releasing a new EP, titled The Discipline, later this year. The EP will feature four tracks: two previously unreleased songs originally written in the 90’s, and two re-recorded songs from the band’s debut album, Destroy the Machines. Guitarist Scott Crouse explained the decision as such:

“We think the songs on Destroy The Machines are still strong, and relevant, two decades later. We have always wanted to re-record them, and figured the 20 year anniversary of the album was a fitting occasion. Our intention isn’t to erase the original versions, just offer another version we feel will offer the power and clarity the songs deserve. We also decided to record two songs we demoed years ago because they’re great and people need to hear them! “Behind The Mask” and “Time Of Strife” are timeless and we think ExC fans will love them.”

Earth Crisis will release The Discipline on May 19, 2015 via Bullet Tooth Records. It will follow the band’s previous LP, Salvation of Innocents, which was released on March 8, 2015 via Century Media.

The album is being released concurrently with the comic book “Liberator”, which will ‘bring the lyrics to life’. Here’s what guitarist Scott Crouse said about the collaboration,

The process for this album was new for us. We did most of it ourselves. The absence of pressure having to get things done by a certain time each day really gave us the freedom to try new ideas and critically listen to the songs. From the music, to the lyrical concept, to the comic book that brings the lyrics to life, we think we’ve created something pretty unique.
