The Coathangers announce plans for a new album

Atlanta three-piece The Coathangers have announced that their new album The Devil You Know will be released March 8th on Suicide Squeeze Records. After twelve years of touring and recording The Coathangers are set to release a more cohesive album, filled with growth and new-found conscious anger. Julia Kugel had this to say about recording the new album: “It’s a conscious anger now,” Kugel says of their harnessed fury. “You’re navigating through it and figuring out your place in all of it, whereas the first record is more of a general statement of ‘I feel mad.’

This is the first new music from The Coathangers since their 2016 release Nosebleed Weekend. 

The Coathangers release live video for “Gettin’ Mad and Pumpin’ Iron”

The Coathangers are to release a live album (simple called “Live”) on June 1st via Suicide Squeeze Records. Ahead of the release, you can watch a video for “Gettin’ Mad and Pumpin’ Iron” to get you nice and keen. The album was recorded over two nights of shows at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach and covers tracks from the band’s 12 year career.

The Coathangers release new video for “Captain’s Dead”

Three piece- female punk act The Coathangers just dropped a new video for the track, “Captain’s Dead” off of their EP Parasite which is due in June via Suicide Squeeze Records.

The Atlanta based trio most recently released Nosebleed Weekend in April of 2016.

The Coathangers stream new track, announce UK Show

Atlanta-based punky-indie-garage-rockers The Coathangers have just released the title track off their upcoming album, “Nosebleed Weekend”. This might be one of the best new songs I’ve heard in a while, pounding with the trio’s unique and feisty style, and you can check it out below.

“Nosebleed Weekend” is set for a April 15th through Suicide Squeeze Records. Furthermore, if you’re a Coathangers fan living in the UK, then you’re in luck, because the band also just announced that they will be playing a headline show at the Moth Club in London on May 5th.

Refused announce U.S tour with The Coathangers and Plague Vendor

Swedish hardcore punk icons Refused have announced they will embark on a U.S. tour with The Coathangers and Plague Vendor this summer. The dates and locations are below.

Last June, Refused released Freedom, their first album in 17 years, on Epitaph Records. The Coathangers are going to release their new album Nosebleed Weekend on April 15th on Suicide Squeeze Records, and Plague Vendor will release theirs on March 25th on Epitaph and it’s called Bloodsweat.

The Coathangers announce new full-length, “Nosebleed Weekend”

Good news for fans of Atlanta-based punky-indie-garage-rockers The Coathangers. The trio has unveiled plans for a brand-new studio album. It’s called “Nosebleed Weekend,” and it’s due out April 15th through Suicide Squeeze Records.

“Nosebleed Weekend” marks the band’s fifth studio album, and serves as follow-up to 2014’s “Suck My Shirt.” It also marks the first time the trio have recorded outside their hometown of Atlanta, opting instead to set up shop in North Hollywood, California, at Valentine Studios.

Immediatlly coming off an extensive North American tour, the punky-indie-garage-rockers The Coathangers will embark on an extensive European tour. Check out the dates below.

The tour is to support the European release of Suck My Shirt, which had a U.S. release earlier this year through  Suicide Squeeze Records.

Black Lips announce U.S. tour w/ The Coathangers; reveal “Underneath the Rainbow” cover art

Atlanta garage punk act Black Lips have announced that they will be hitting the road this coming spring with Deerhunter, The Coathangers, and Natural Child appearing on select dates. In addition to announcing a long run of dates, the band has unveiled the cover art for their upcoming LP “Underneath the Rainbow”. You can view the cover art to the left, and the tour dates below.

Black Lips last released “Arabia Mountain” in 2011, and they are scheduled to release “Underneath the Rainbow” on March 18th.
