Into It. Over It. announce third album ‘Standards’

Into It. Over It. has revealed that their third studio full length will be titled Standards. The album was written in an isolated cabin with no phone service or internet access, and was produced by John Vanderslice (The Mountain Goats, Spoon). You can read a write-up on the album here.

No release date has been announced for Standards yet, but we’ll keep you posted as that information becomes available. Into It. Over It.’s latest album Intersections was released in September 2013 via Triple Crown Records.



Chris Farren streams “Cold Front” featuring Evan Weiss (Into It. Over It.)

World-renowned punk rock celebrity Chris Farren (Fake Problems/Antarctigo Vespucci) is streaming a new track that features the inimitable Evan Weiss of Into It. Over It. fame. It’s called “Cold Front,” and you can check it out below.

“Cold Front” appears on the vinyl reissue of Farren’s solo Christmas album, “Like A Gift From Got Or Whatever.” The reissue, featuring the aforementioned bonus track, is being put out by Soft Speak Records on November 13th; you babies can get your hands on your very own copy by pre-ordering here. The pressing benefits the National Alliance on Mental Illness, so make sure you buy this one!



Into It. Over It. and Owen cover each other for upcoming split 7-inch

Pretty fun little split 7-inch due out in a couple months. It features Into It. Over It. (better known as Evan Weiss) and Owen (better known as Mike Kinsella) covering each other’s songs. Into It. Over It. will be taking on the Owen track “Poor Souls,” while Owen serves up Into It. Over It.’s “Anchor.”

Pet Symmetry announces debut album release date and stream track

Drawing from members of Into It. Over It.Dowsing, Kittyhawk, and Mountains for Clouds, the Chicago trio known as Pet Symmetry have announced the release of their debut album, Pets Hounds, on May 19th via Asian Man Records.  You can preview the track “Give Thanks (Get Lost)” below.

If this first track is any indication, you can expect some distortion-laden pop punk and tongue-in-cheek vocals on this album.

Evan Weiss/Into It. Over It.’s last album, was 2013’s “Intersections,” released by Triple Crown Records. Assuming the new music materializes into a full-length, it’ll be the band’s third.
