Warped Tour adds five MORE bands to 2015 lineup (Candy Hearts, I Killed The Prom Queen, more)

It’s a Wednesday in January, so you know what that means…Warped Tour band announcement day!

Today brings the announcement that five more bands have been added to the 2015 lineup: Candy Hearts, I Killed The Prom Queen, BoyMeetsWorld, Sirens And Sailors, and Youth In Revolt. That brings us to a total of just about three-dozen bands playing all-or-part of the Warped Tour. Check out the full rundown below.

Tickets for Warped Tour 2015 went on sale last month (December 12th). Get yours online here. The 2015 Warped Tour kicks off June 17th in Anchorage, Alaska, and runs through August 8th in Auburn, Washington.

“Calvert Street” is taken from I Killed the Prom Queen’s latest album Beloved, which was released last February on Epitaph Records.



Epitaph releases 2014 Spring Sampler

I Killed the Prom Queen have released a new video for the song “Thirty One & Sevens.”  The Aussie metalcore act will include the song on their upcoming album, Beloved, which is slated for release on Epitaph Records on February 18th.

Dates and bands announced for 2014 Take Action Tour

Ohio metalcore act The Devil Wears Prada has been announced as the headliner for this years’ “Take Action Tour” which will run through most of March and April.  The tour will also feature The Ghost Inside , I Killed the Prom Queen and Dangerkids in support.

Today was the last day of @iktpqofficial recording. 6 weeks (and 7 years) later we have finished a new album. Stay tunes for release details”

I Killed the Prom Queen have posted an update in regards to their anticipated reunion album, which they will begin recording next week. Guitarist Jona Weinhofen tweeted:

“12 songs down, couple more to go. @iktpqofficial recording begins in exactly one week!”

Asking Alexandria announce tour dates with Motionless in White, Whitechapel, Chimaira, I Killed the Prom Queen

UK Metalcore band Asking Alexandria have announced a month of tour dates as part of “The Don’t Pray for Us” tour alongside Motionless in White, Whitechapel, Chimaira and I Killed the Prom Queen.

Asking Alexandria released their last album, Reckless and Relentless, in 2011 on Sumerian Records. They are readying their third album for release, but no date or title has been announced.



Music Video: I Killed the Prom Queen – “Memento Vivere”

I Killed the Prom Queen have premiered a music video for “Memento Vivere”, which is the first song that they have released since their split in 2007 and reunion last year. Go here to check it out.

“Memento Vivere” is taken from the band’s recently-announced new studio album, which is still-untitled and planned for an early 2013 release. It will be their first studio album since Music for the Recently Deceased, which came out back in 2006 on Metal Blade Records.

Australian metalcore act I Killed the Prom Queen, who reunited last September, have posted an update on their new album, which they plan to release early next year. They write the following message from their Facebook page:

“Been writing like crazy and we now have 8 almost complete tracks for the new album coming next year. stay tuned guys, we know its been ages and we’ve been promising this new track for weeks now but its just around the corner, honestly! we had a few setbacks with the mixing of the track, and we’re preparing a live video featuring footage from the european tour, to go with the track so you all have something to look at as well. stay tuned, its coming!”

I Killed the Prom Queen announce reunion, plan new album

Australian metalcore act I Killed the Prom Queen have announced that they’re back together after a three-year hiatus and will embark on the “Destroy Music Tour” of Australia next May. The band will be performing in the direct support slot behind The Amity Affliction with support coming from Deez Nuts and Of Mice & Men. Another word on the street is that I Killed the Prom Queen will begin writing a new album this December for a mid-2012 release. Their last studio album, Music for the Recently Deceased, was released in 2006 on Metal Blade Records.
