Toronto’s Flatliners recently announced a set of West Coast tour dates around the US and Canada. They will be accompanied by The Smith Street Band, up until It’s Not Dead Fest. They are also adding a few dates to the end of July, in Canada, supporting Sum 41.

The album, produced by Jeff Rosenstock, is the band’s first full-length since their 2014 release, Throw Me In The River.
Australian folk punks The Smith Street Band have premiered a music video for their brand new single “Death to the Lads”, and you can check it out below.
“Death to the Lads” is the title track from The Smith Street Band’s upcoming fourth album, due for release early next year through Banquet Records.
The Smith Street Band have announced that they will be heading out on a North American tour this spring, and that they’ll be bringing Hard Girls along for the entire ride. Supporting acts on the tour include Diners, Worriers, Signals Midwest, and Lee Corey Oswald on select dates.

The Smith Street Band released a 7-inch titled “I Scare Myself Sometimes” on August 24, 2015 as a follow up to their 2014 debut album, Throw Me in the River. Hard Girls released their second album, A Thousand Surfaces, on June 24, 2014.
Australian punks The Smith Street Band have announced that they will be releasing a new 7-inch titled “I Scare Myself Sometimes”. The single will feature two songs recorded during the Throw Me in the River sessions but not included on the album. The band has also released a music video for the 7-inch’s title track. Australia’s The Smith Street Band is sharing a new track titled “Regular Sex”. The song is the B-side of their single “Surrender”, which was a Fest exclusive, and is being streamed in anticipation of the physical release of their latest album, Throw Me In The River.
Throw Me In The River launched digitally in October, and just earlier this week we posted more from the band with their surprise 7″ called “Wipe That Shit Eating Grin Off Of Your Punchable Face”.

The Smith Street Band have just released a surprise 7″ single called “Wipe That Shit Eating Grin Off Of Your Punchable Face,” which is a political attack on the Australian government’s treatment of asylum seekers. The 7″, which features another new song, “God In The Name Of The Father” on the flipside, is available today on bandcamp and all digital sales will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. This 7″ will be released through Poison City Records and a large part of the physical sales will also be donated, including all of the proceeds from The Smith Street Band’s benefit show later this month. I was a total music nerd when I was a kid. I listened to absolutely nothing except golden oldies and Weird Al until I was in high school. I stumbled onto punk rock when I was 15 and considered myself musically "cool" but now that I think about it, starting a punk music blog is pretty much the pinnacle of fanboy geekdom - so, still a music nerd it seems. But I digress. I was telling you about golden oldies. I never lost my love for the rock 'n roll of the 60s, which is why Italy's The Peawees are striking such a chord with me. These guys channel the greats like Elvis, Chuck Berry or Buddy Holly but do it with decidedly punk rock rock flare. They're not "new", they've been kicking around the punk scene since 1995 but they're new to Dying Scene and on September 14th they're dropping their new album "Moving Target" via Rum Bar Records.
