F.O.D. (and various artists) stream single “Hope For A Moment” to benefit charity

Belgian skate punks F.O.D. are now streaming their collaboration single “Hope For A Moment” to benefit refugees or anyone disadvantaged whi have not chosen to be in the situations they are in.

The guys have collaborated with Jeroen Camerlynck (Fleddy Melculy), Dieter Meyns (Flatcat), Roos Van Acker (Eden), Steven Van Crombruggen (Off The Cross), Hanne Terweduwe (For I Am) and Tim Van Doorn.

According to the band, “The rising numbers of poverty can no longer be ignored!
“Hope For A Moment” describes the poorest layer of our society and how people living in these bad conditions are in a constant struggle to find their way out of the downward spiral they wake up to on a daily basis.”

F.O.D (punk) release video for “Hope For A Moment”

Belgian skate punks F.O.D. have released their new single “Hope For A Moment”. They have also released a music video to go along with it which shows footage of the band and friends from the Belgium punk scene recording the track. Watch it below.

The song was released in the context of Music For Life“, a yearly action for charity by Belgian national radio station Studio Brussel and in favor of ‘Wereld-Delen‘, which tries to improve the well-being of disadvantaged people.

Hans Roofthoot (F.O.D) and Matteo Caldari (7years) will be featured on a new split, coming from Bearded Punk, Inconsapevole, Morning Wood and No Reason Records. The split is due out on October 2nd of this year. There will be 10 songs, 5 from each artist on the split.

The duo will be sharing the stage with Joey Cape in his Genk and Milano gigs. The album, which is an acoustic album, has been inspired by the likes of Joey Cape, Greg Graffin and John K Samson, among others.

Belgian skate punks F.O.D. have a lyric video out for their song “Act Of Consecration.” Watch it below.

The track comes from the band’s upcoming new album, Harvest, which is due out February 7, 2017.

The band had this to say about the album and this song in particular: “The new album HARVEST will be our most diverse album up to date. There’s even a waltz-like song, which is not that punk but we don’t really care about that. But this song, on the other hand, is the most aggressive one on the record. Hope you don’t mind.”

Harvest will be the band’s first album in 3 years, following 2014’s Tricks of the Trade.

Free Skate Punk Comp: “Taking Over Our Lives” (Yankee Brutal, F.O.D., Straightline, etc)

Brazilian webzine We Live in Hell have released a killer compilation album titled “Taking Over Our Lives” and it features a grip of great international melodic and skate punk acts including none other than Dying Scene Records’ own Yankee Brutal!

All in all there are 30 bands from 15 countries and its a fantastic way to make at least a few great new band discoveries.  Give it a listen below and if you dig it you can download it on bandamp for free.

The video was filmed at their recent performance at this year’s Groezrock Festival, and you can give it a little gander below.

“Dear Grace” appears on the band’s latest album, “Tricks of the Trade”, which was released last September through Effervescence Records.

Free Melodic Punk Compilation: “Sound Of Us – Vol. IV”

Polish music blog Melodic Punk Style has just released the fourth volume in their “Sound Of Us” free compilation series. Sound of Us. Volume IV, includes 30 tracks by 30 different bands. Among those included on this volume are Useless ID, Darko, Class of 86, The Decline, F.O.D. and honestly too many awesome bands to list.
