DS Photo Gallery: Cockney Rejects at The Uptown. Oakland, CA (2/15/13)

Legendary East End Oi! band Cockney Rejects recently wrapped up their tour with seminal LA punk band Youth Brigade.

Last week we released upon the masses photos from Youth Brigade’s set.

Did you know that founding Rejects members Jeff and Micky Geggus (brothers) used to be amateur boxers?

I always get a kick when I see the band play live, because the boxing culture is very apparent in the way Jeff dances onstage, throwing fists like he’s in the ring.

Check it out for yourself here.

The Cockney Rejects are getting set to release their DVD documentary, “East End Babylon”, a look back at the history of the band, this Spring.

Cockney Rejects announce US tour with Youth Brigade

Cockney Rejects fill in for Sham 69 at Punk Rock Bowling

Sham 69 will not be performing at Punk Rock Bowling this year in Las Vegas due to illness in the Pursey family.  Jimmy gave this statement as he regretfully broke the news:

In March my father was diagnosed with asbestosis lung cancer. Since then, the situation for my family has got worse and my fathers prognosis is not good as it has just become apparent that he has the most aggressive form. We have just been told that he now only has weeks to live and indeed his condition is already deteriorating. My family has only recently lost my mother so this makes it very difficult for me not to be here for my father and family. You will have to forgive me but I have to tell you now so you can at least have time to inform all fans. I am so sorry for this situation.

Sticking with 70’s Oi, Cockney Rejects will be replacing Sham 69 on the bill with Rancid May 27th.
