As most of you know, Arizona’s The Bled initially called it a career last August, and headed to the UK for one last tour. To clear the air, the band’s frontman, James Muñoz, sat down for an interview and talked about the band’s last tour, what life has been like since The Bled broke up, and much more.

You can check out the full interview here.

The band’s last album, “Heat Fetish,” was released in 2010 via Rise Records.

The Bled are officially over, post final message

As most of you know, Arizona’s The Bled initially called it a career last August. They had a couple of farewell tours booked, the latter of which took place in Europe recently. So now, six months after calling it quits, The Bled are officially no more.

Here’s the band’s final statement:

Back home from our final four shows. The UK was a phenomenal experience for us. We had not been over there in years and you made us feel at home while being across the globe. Thank you all. YOU guys made this band. What we did was easy for us, we wrote some songs that we enjoyed playing. YOU guys gave us the stage, the gas money to get there, you believed in us when we were down, you supported us when we tried to put it back together for another record and a few more tours. You told your friends about us, you let us crash on your parents bedroom floors. It’s YOU who made us the band that we were. We are eternally grateful for the opportunities you afforded 5 dudes from the desert to literally live out our dreams of traveling and playing music. Thank you. The Bled ( past and present ) 2002-2012

The band’s last album, “Heat Fetish,” was released in 2010 via Rise Records.

The Bled announce farewell tour dates

As most of you know, after 10 years of playing their hearts out together, The Bled have decided to call it quits. When the originally announced the disbandment, they also mentioned a farewell tour but it wasn’t until now that they had figured out the dates and locations.  You can check those out here.

The band writes:

It is with a great sense of bittersweetness to post our last US tour. Understand that we are aware that we are not getting to MANY places that have been good to us over the years – time constraints limit us and this is the best we could do in a short amount of time. That being said, we are stoked to headline and share the road with Decoder on our last trip around the block. We hope that you will come out to help us put this band to rest.

The band’s last album, “Heat Fetish,” was released last year on Rise Records.

The Bled break up, announce farewell tour

After 10 years of playing their hearts out together, The Bled have decided to call it quits. Not all of this is bad though because the band has announced plans for a farewell tour. Here’s what they had to say,

“After 10 years of making music together we have decided its time to move on to new things. We are in the process of booking our final tour and will post dates for that as soon it’s confirmed. We want to thank Rise Records, Paradigm Talent Agency, the companies who endorsed us, tour mates, promoters, anyone who worked for us, and most of all, those of you who supported us. Whether you were a fan or just sat through one of our sets to see the next band, we can’t thank you guys enough. We have met some amazing people all over the world and that has been the best part of being in this band. That being said, we hope to see you in all November for one last run. Much love. -The Bled”

We’ll keep you posted as dates and locations for the band’s farewell tour are announced.

Music Video: The Bled – “Mouthbreather”

Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes upon the shortest music video I’ve ever seen.

Arizona’s hardcore act The Bled have released a music video for the song Mouthbreather off their latest Rise Records release Heat Fetish. Clocking in at just under 1:45, the video is a rush. It is fittingly set in the desert (you know…Heat Fetish? I thought it was fitting). You can check out the video here.

Good Gossip: The Bled’s bassist royally screws rest of the band.

So The Bled‘s bassist, Brad Murray has recently quit the band, and Shane Sheffer is filling in for the remainder of their tour but folks, it just wouldn’t be news if the story ended there. In a MySpace blog entitled Gobble Gobble, guitarist Jeremy Talley* lets the world in on exactly what happened with Brad, and his feelings towards the departure. It’s a shame what Brad did, and only he will truly understand the motivations behind why he did what he did. Am i being vague enough? Check out the whole blog here.

*I am assuming that jrt = Jeremy Talley, but I could be grossly mistaken.*

The Bled confirm departure of bassist, Brad Murray

the-bled1The Bled, has tweeted to fans that Shane Sheffer will be taking over bass duties after the recent departure of Brad Murray.  At least for their current US tour.

Shane Sheffer is fillin in on bass for this tour, he is the man. Learned 1/2 the set on a 4hr van ride. Saved the tour for us. Sweet!.

The Bled released Heat Fetish through Rise Records in March of 2010.
