The Cab begin working on new album

According to a recent tweet from Las Vegas rock act, The Cab‘s frontman, Alex DeLeon, the band is currently writing/working on a brand new album.

Just wrote the sickest jackson 5-esque bass line. This new @TheCab record is going to be the most fun to date. Very different yet the same.

The band last released “Symphony Soldiers” in August 2011 via Fueled By Ramen. We’ll keep you posted as more details on the band’s upcoming album surface.

Frank Sidoris leaves The Cab to play in new Slash-fronted band

Guitarist Frank Sidoris is reportedly leaving The Cab following their international tour to play in former Guns n’ Roses guitarist Slash’s (currently unnamed) new project. Slash signed Sidoris onto his project sometime earlier this year.

The Summer Set announce US tour dates

Arizona rockers The Summer Set have released dates for their upcoming tour in early 2012 with pop act  The Cab. You can check out those dates here.

The Summer Set is currently signed to Razor and Tie and released their EP “What Money Can’t Buy”  a week ago (and you can check out our coverage on that here.)

Music Saves Lives to auction off a date with The Cab

Music Saves Lives is a great charity that helps kids everyday and right now they are teaming up with Pop band The Cab to raise money. The charity is auctioning off a bowling date with members of the Vegas band, at the Red Rock Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

2010 AP Tour (featuring the Cab, Every Avenue, the Summer Set, Never Scream Never, and Hey Monday) dates announced

2010-ap-tourDates for the 2010 AP Tour have been announced and can be found here.  The tour consists of the Cab, Every Avenue, the Summer Set, Never Scream Never, and Hey Monday.

Tickets go on pre-sale from January 4 at 5pm and run until January 8.  Regular sale tickets will be available on January 9.

The Cab on Alt Press Tour 2010

thecabThe Cab has just announced they will be playing on the Alt Press Tour this year along side Every Avenue and The Summer Set. Stay tuned for dates, cities and more bands that will be performing.

The Cab released their last album Whisper War back in April of 2008 on Fueled By Ramen Records.

Bassist Cash Colligan leaves The Cab

fueled-by-ramen-logo19The Cab‘s bassist Cash Colligan leaves the band to pursue his other interests and dreams in Las Vegas. The band just finished the What Happens in Vegas Tour and mentioned that they are getting ready to record new material.

The Cab’s latest album “Whisper War” was released on Fueled by Ramen Records in April 2008.

What Happens In Vegas Tour video blog with The Cab

fueled-by-ramen-logo7 The guys of The Cab have put together a couple of videos whilst on the road for the What Happens In Vegas Tour. The tour began June 18th and ends August 9th. The Cab is sharing the road with The Secret Handshake, A Rocket to the Moon, Eye Alaska, Anarbor, The Summer Set, and My Favorite Highway. You can watch both the videos by clicking here.
