Missouri-based punk three-piece Radkey are allowing fans to stream their latest track. The effort is titled “Rock And Roll Homeschool” and it’s the first music from the group since their 2016 LP, Delicious Rock Noise.
Isaiah Radke, one of the group’s vocalists and bass player, spoke about the inspiration behind the tune:
“I’m not sure how many people know this about us, but we were homeschooled… That’s one of the main reasons we had a ton of time to work on songwriting and play tons of video games. The only problem was that we started to feel pretty uncool having zero friends. We would constantly fantasize about getting out there, and what life would be like if we had gone to ‘real school.'”
Along with the new music, Radkey will also be hitting the road with legendary British punks The Damned later this month.

After five years of touring and releasing two EPs, Missouri’s punk trio of brothers Radkey have announced that they will release their debut album, Dark Black Makeup, on August 21st through their own label, Little Man Records. Check out the artwork to the left and the tracklisting below.
The 13-track album was recorded primarily in the UK with producer Ross Orton. The ambition of Dark Black Makeup is evidenced by the heightened songwriting and broadened sonic palette, but the energy behind the music remains the same—visceral, urgent, and raw. It is the sound of three people doing what they love…loudly.
The band is also streaming the album’s title track. Check out “Dark Black Makeup” below as well.

Missouri garage-punk act Radkey are streaming a new song entitled “Feed My Brain,” which will be appearing on the band’s currently untitled follow-up to the two EPs they put out last year. Here’s what bassist/vocalist Isaiah Radke had to say about the track:
“‘Feed My Brain’ is a really new kind of song for us. We took a slightly different way of song writing with this track as we’ve never made a pretty slow tempo rock really hard before. Recording it was really cool because we weren’t 100% sure if it’d sound exactly how we’d pictured it and played it live. We recorded at Westend Studios in KC with Justin Mantooth, and recording there had a lot to do with how the song ended up sounding tone wise. This new single definitely means a lot to us.”
You can give “Feed My Brain” a listen and find details on the band’s upcoming spring tour below.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted as more info on Radkey’s next release come to light. The band’s last EP “Cat & Mouse” was released in June.
