The Bruce Lee Band release big budget music video for “AGH!!!”

The Bruce Lee Band have released a super-professional music video for their song “AGH!!!,” which was directed by George Lucas and Michael Bay. Alright, I lied… it’s actually a video of Mike Park busting some sweet moves and drinking his morning coffee in his living room. But that’s practically the same thing, right? Anyway, check the music video out below.

“AGH!!!” is taken from The Bruce Lee Band’s latest album Everything Will Be Alright, My Friend, which came out in 2014 through Asian Man Records. It was the band’s first full-length since their 1995 self-titled album, on which Mike Park was backed by members of Less Than Jake.



Pouzza Fest reveals full 2015 lineup

At long last the full lineup for the 2015 edition of Montreal, Quebec’s most beloved punk festival Pouzza Fest has been revealed! Bands playing the fest’s 5th installment include 88 Fingers Louie, The Bruce Lee Band, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Dwarves, The Muffs, DeeCracks, and many, many others.

Everything Will Be Alright, My Friend sees Mike Park being backed by Mike Huguenor (Hard Girls/Classics of Love), bassist/vocalist Jeff Rosenstock (Bomb the Music Industry!) and drummer Kevin Higuchi (The Chinkees). It is also the first full-length The Bruce Lee Band has released since their 1995 self-titled album, on which Park was backed by members of Less Than Jake.

Mike Park, longtime owner and operator of legendary California punk/ska label Asian Man Records, has announced plans to release a new Bruce Lee Band full-length titled Everything Will Be Alright, My Friend this September.

The Bruce Lee Band announce first show in a decade

Asian Man Records owner Mike Park has just announced The Bruce Lee Band will be hitting the stage for its first show in a decade on September 6th at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, California. More info/ticket links can be found here.

Park will be singing and playing saxophone, Jeff Rosenstock of Bomb The Music Industry! will be playing keyboard and sax, Dan Potthast of Mu330 will be on guitar, John DeDomenici (also of BTMI!) will be on bass, Kevin Higuchi of The Chinkees will be slapping the skins, and Gerry Lundquist of Skankin’ Pickle will be on trombone.

The Bruce Lee Band’s new 7-inch Community Support Group was released on January 28th through Rosenstock’s label Really Records. It was the band’s first release since 2005’s Beautiful World EP, on which Park was backed by the RX Bandits. The band is reportedly working on a new full-length album.
