Energy (punk) streaming new album “Anthology Volume 2”

Boston punks Energy are streaming their new album Anthology Volume 2. The collection includes my personal favorites “The Messenger”, “Dead in Dreamland” and a stirring rendition of “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause”.

This is the follow-up to the August release of Anthology Volume 1. If you haven’t had the chance to hear these guys, they are a wonderful mix of The Riptides surfer punk mixed with the stunning vocals of Rufio.

Boston punks raise funds for charity with “Miracle on Comm Ave.” compilation

It’s time to get in the holiday spirit with a brand-new comp from some of Boston’s best punk bands, streaming below.  Produced by Squallie Greenthumb (ex-The Old Edison), Miracle on Comm Ave. features 16 tracks from Boston’s own Energy, Mark Lind (The Ducky Boys), Matt Trainor (Losers CircleThe Radicals), Live Nude GirlsCoffin Salesman, and more. All proceeds go to Child’s Play, a charity that provides toys and video games to terminally ill kids in over 140 hospitals around the world.

Energy stream new EP “Under the Mask”

Boston punks Energy just released their new EP Under the Mask, and it’s now available to stream.

Energy detail new EP “Under The Mask”

Boston punks Energy have detailed their new EP “Under The Mask”. The six track affair includes singles “A Prayer for Rain” and “Witching Hour”.

Energy (melodic punk) release new video for song “A Prayer for Rain”, announce UK summer tour with Miss Vincent

Boston punks Energy have released a video for their new single “A Prayer for Rain”. The new single is the follow up to “Witching Hour” released earlier this year. The video was released as a celebration of their announcement that they will embark on a summer headlining tour through the UK. Miss Vincent (melodic punk) will provide support for the tour which begins July 29 in Manchester.

Boston based alternative/punk group Energy recently released a brand new song called ‘Witching Hour’. The band will be on tour with Creeper and Puppy in the UK next month.

Entropy streaming new song “Tonight Is Your Night, Bro”

New York hardcore act Entropy have announced that they will release their upcoming album Deinventing the Wheel, on September 9th through Say-10 Records. They are streaming a new song called “Tonight Is Your Night, Bro.”

The album includes the 2015 So It Goes EP along with 11 new tracks.

Music Video: Energy – “They”

Boston based alternative/punk group Energy recently released a brand new music video for their song “They.” This song is the 8th track off of their latest album Apparition Sound, a compilation album that includes material from their entire discography (2012-2015). You can take a look at the video and stream the album below.

Apparition Sound was released on January 1st, 2016 and served as a follow-up to the band’s 2014 full-length titled A Tribute To The Misfits. 

New Video: Energy cover Ramones’ “Pet Sematary”

Fun new music video from Energy, just in time for Halloween!

The Boston-area punks covered the classic Ramones track “Pet Sematary” for their 2013 EP “New Worlds Of Fear,” but the track is now being rereleased, and it’s accompanied by a music video. Check that out below!

Dying Scene Session: Jason Tankerley (Energy) performs “They” from his solo EP, “The Infection”

While the unofficial end of summer might be just a week-or-so away, you haven’t heard the end of the Dying Scene Sessions just yet! We’re stoked to bring you the latest installment, just in time for the weekend.

Dying Scene recently had the privilege of catching up with Jason Tankerley for the second time. Perhaps best known from his role in Boston-area punk band Energy, Tankerley released a six-song solo EP, The Infection, earlier this year. In our newest Dying Scene Session, Tankerley performed a bare-bones version of the track “They.” Check out the video below!

Energy’s last album, A Tribute To The Misfits, was released for free download on February 18, 2014. The Dying Scene Sessions: Jason Tankerley of Energy

Guess who’s back! Today we’re unbelievably stoked to bring back the latest installment of our ongoing Dying Scene Sessions series, this time featuring Jason Tankerley of the Boston-area punk band Energy.

I caught up with Jason at the Monster Party Collective in the suburbs of Boston to shoot three songs: “Another Yesterday” off their latest EP “New World Of Fear,” as well as an exclusive, first-listen of a brand new song called “The Infection.” Jason also performed a cover of the Jawbreaker favorite “Do You Still Hate Me?”
