Sleater-Kinney announce openers for all five upcoming NYC shows

Recently reunited (though they never officially went away) seminal riot grrrls Sleater-Kinney recently announced a handful of December tour dates that conclude with a five-night run at five different New York City venues. Today, we’ve learned a little bit more about who they’ll be playing alongside. While tickets to the latter three nights (which feature Perfect Pussy, Charly Bliss and Lee Ranaldo as openers) are sold out, there are still select tickets available to the Saturday gig (featuring Torres) and the Sunday gig at Terminal 5 (featuring Waxahatchee). Recently reunited (though they never officially went away) seminal riot grrrls Sleater-Kinney have been busy promoting their most recent album, “No Cities To Love.”

While the band are in New York at Terminal 5 the next two nights, it’s not their only recent NYC appearance. The band were guests of the Late Show with David Letterman where they performed a raucous rendition of the track “A New Wave.” Check it out below.

Recently reunited 90s punk goddesses Sleater-Kinney have released a music video for their new single “A New Wave”. The video features appearances by the Belcher children from the Fox animated sitcom, Bob’s Burgers, and even primarily takes place in Tina’s bedroom. You can watch the video below.

“A New Wave” comes off of Sleater-Kinney’s reunion album, No Cities to Love, which was released on January 20, 2015 via Sub Pop Records.

Recently reunited 90s punk goddesses Sleater-Kinney are currently streaming their upcoming album “No Cities To Love.” Check it out in its entirety here.

“No Cities To Love” will be released January 20th 2015 via Sub Pop Records. It is the band’s first release in nearly 10 years, and serves as a follow up to 2005’s “The Woods.” Sleater-Kinney has also announced a string of tour dates which can be viewed here.

Sleater-Kinney announce new album “No Cities To Love,” stream new song, announce tour

90s punk goddesses Sleater-Kinney have reunited and announced that their upcoming album No Cities To Love will be released on January 20th, 2015 through Sub Pop Records. You can stream a new song, “Bury Our Friends,” as well as check out the tracklisting, below.

This will be the band’s first album in nearly ten years, serving as a follow-up to 2005’s The Woods. The band have also announced a tour to support the release of the new album. Dates can also be found below.

In conjunction with the news about the new album and tour, remastered versions of the band’s previous albums were released today, and a vinyl  7-album box set, Start Together, will be released on December 16th.
