Awkward Age (pop punk) streaming track – “New Teen Fiction”

Tampa pop-punk band Awkward Age are now streaming another “new” song, titled “New Teen Fiction.” Give it a listen below.

The song is off the band’s upcoming release, The First Few Years, which features six songs from the band’s unreleased 2011 demos, as well as the four songs from the band’s self-titled 7″, which is now out of print. The release is due out October 24th via Little Rocket Records. You can pre-order a cassette or digital copy right here.

Awkward Age’s previous release was their debut full-length album, We Could Be Anywhere,  in 2014.



Awkward Age sign with Little Rocket Records, announce ‘The First Few Years’ cassette release

Armed with a new, expanded lineup, Tampa pop-punk group Awkward Age just announced they’ve signed on with Little Rocket Records for the release of a new cassette/digital EP, called The First Few Years.

The 10-track release will feature six old, but unreleased songs, along with the four songs from the band’s self-titled 7″, which is now out of print. You can pre-order a cassette or digital copy of The First Few Years right here, and watch a teaser video for the release below.

Normally we don’t do stories on vinyl re-issues of pre-released albums (there would be waaay too many of those stories) but the original digital release escaped our attention so we figured it was worthy of posting.  Tampa Bay pop-punk act Awkward Age (think Superchunk meets Descendents) will be releasing their full-length “We Could Be Anywhere” on 12″ vinyl next month via Chisel Records.
