Yearling heading into the studio

yearlingYearling announced via their MySpace blog that they will be heading into the studio next week to record new music with… well, just read what they wrote:

We will be leaving in a week to record new songs in Atlanta in a week with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount! They are most known for the records they’ve made for Cartel, All Time Low, Every Avenue, Hit The Lights, Outkast, Ludacris, Jimmy Eat World, and tons of other amazing bands/artists. We are STOKED to see what we can do with them! The new songs we are recording are the best we’ve ever written, and we’re really proud to have this opportunity. We’ll keep you guys updated as the recordings come along!

The band’s last album was self-titled and released on Tragic Hero Records last August.

Yearling cancels tour

tragic-hero-records6North Carolina’s emo act Yearling canceled their tour due to drummer Joey and bassist Brian leaving the band.  The other members are heading back to Salt Lake City to hold auditions for new members.  No need to worry because the band will still be on the Project 86 tour again.

The band’s latest album “The View from Here” was released on Tragic Hero Records in May 2007.

Yearling: self-titled album release

tragic-hero-records5Yearling‘s new self-titled album will be released August 18th on Tragic Hero Records.  The album includes their Katy Perry cover of “Hot N Cold” as well as several other songs you can check out on the band’s myspace page. “The View From Here,” Yearling’s last album, was released on Tragic Hero records May 5, 2008.
