Majority Lost (Punk, CA) Stream Video for “Little Man”

California-based Majority Lost are streaming a video for their track “Little Man”. The tune has been taken from the band’s first release in seven years, We Needed This More Than You Wanted This. As with the other tracks on the record, “Little Man” is performed acoustically – a change from the rapid, electrified tracks the band produced earlier in their career.

Majority Lost (Punk, CA) Stream Latest EP “We Needed This More Than You Wanted This”

California-based punk rock group Majority Lost have just released their first EP in seven years. The new record is titled We Needed This More Than You Wanted This and sees the band experiment with a more stripped back sound than the rapid onslaught of their 2011 self-titled EP. Their latest work is the produce of the band’s original lineup but it’s entirely acoustic.

Stream cool acoustic cover of Propagandhi’s “And We Thought Nation States Were A Bad Idea”

First the back story: Majority Lost / The Shell Corporation guitarist Jan Drees will be releasing an acoustic Propagandhi cover split album with Nino and Whitney from the San Francisco punk act Setoff.  The split will be entitled “By the Way We Stole These Songs.” All proceeds from the sales of this record will benefit Food Not Bombs. The split is due out in July.

We wrote about it a while ago so now the point of this post: You can stream a pretty cool acoustic cover of the classic Propagandhi tune “And We Thought Nation States Were A Bad Idea” right here (along with a cover of “Anti-Manifesto”).  The original, of course, appeared on the 1996 Propagandhi album “Less Talk, More Rock.”

Majority Lost post free download of new “Side A” EP

Last June we reported that Simi Valley punks Majority Lost were recording a new album as well as changing their line-up. Well today new details have surfaced. They are releasing their new album  in two parts. The first part is a 5 song EP teaser called Side A that is now available for free download on their website. Click here to check it out.

The rest of the album will probably be done in late October/early November.  Keep checking back for updates. For now enjoy the new songs.

Majority Lost recording new album, adds new members

Next week Simi Valley punk band Majority Lost are heading into the studio to record their second full-length album. It will be a follow up to Falls Off The Bandwagon ep which was released last June on Horns Up Records.

The band also welcomes new guitarists Curtiss Lopez (formerly of A Wilhelm Scream) and Jan Drees.  Shaun Michel is no longer in the band. No word on the album release date but we will keep you updated. They are planning a European tour with The Briggs in September.

New Song: “Tomorrow” by Majority Lost, new album in the works

California Punk act Majority Lost are streaming a brand new song on their facebook page.  It’s titled Tomorrow (look for it in their player on the left or on their wall) and it will apparently appear the band’s next full-length which is set to be released later this year.

Majority Lost released their last album, …Falls Off The Bandwagon in June 2009 on Horns Up Records.



A public service announcement from Majority Lost (new song, “A Word Of Advice (DUI Song)”)

Simi Valley, CA, punkers Majority Lost have added a new track to their MySpace.  Entitled A Word Of Advice (DUI Song), the lyrics provide us with reasons to ditch our keys while boozing (unless, of course, you drive better drunk… joke).

The band’s most current release, …Falls Off The Bandwagon, an EP, came out last June on Horns Up Records.

Majority Lost released their full-length “Gods, Kings & Personal Demons” on Felony Records last year.
