Sid Broderius and the Emergency Exit Release New (FREE!) Song and Video

Sid Broderius and the Emergency Exit have released a new song and video! “Rebel Heartache” is a slow-jam rocker about getting older, growing up, and the giveths and takeths of living a punk rock lifestyle. In true DIY fashion, the video was shot on smart phones, and while it won’t be on the band’s upcoming album, it is available for free on bandcamp.

Singer/guitarist Sid Broderius had this to say, “This song was recorded for fun right after I wrote it a month ago, on the fly, at our drummer Jasen’s studio. We shot the video a month later, also spur of the moment as hell. This song is straight from the heart to anybody who enjoys our music. This one isn’t on our new full length Light it Up coming very soon on No Affiliation Records.”

Light it Up is out this summer on No Affiliation Records. Check out the video below, and click here for the bandcamp!

Sid Broderius and the Emergency Exit Sign to No Affiliation Records, confirm new record

Remember last week when we premiered a song from Sid Broderius and the Emergency Exit? Good stuff, right? Well, news comes fast with these Northwest punks and now it looks like they’ve gotten signed to No Affiliation Records.

Straight from the frontman’s mouth, Sid had this to say:

We’re psyched to be a part of the No Affiliation family and can’t wait to put out this next record, coming summer 2018.

So, take that as confirmation for a new album too.

No Affiliation Records is a label based out of Phoenix and you can check out what they’re about right here.

DS Exclusive: Sid Broderius and The Emergency Exit premiere video for “The Last Time”

Sid Broderius and the Emergency Exit is an outfit from Spokane, but also from Texas, made up of a frontman who can’t seem to stay in one place, backed by whatever desperadoes happen to be around. Today, they have released a new video to support their latest single “The Last Time.”

For those not familiar with the group, the name ‘The Emergency Exit’ came from the fact that frontman Sid started the band knowing he’d have to leave the Northwest. In his new homestead, he recruited local players from the Rio Grande Valley and recorded the single we bring you today. In his own words, “it’s about friends beating addiction.”

The song itself is filled with giant walls of crystalline woahs, Fat Wreck-style attitude, and an occasional foray into ska. It’s an amalgam of 90s punk rock with the emotional rawness of acts like The Flatliners. Check out the video below, and if you like what you hear, pick it up on their bandcamp.
