New Music: The Bad Signs cover Laura Jane Grace’s “The Airplane Song”

Well here’s a fun story to close out your work week!

Nashville “goth-country” trio The Bad Signs (featuring singer/songwriter Samantha Harlow and Nat and Rob Rufus from Blacklist Royals) have been hard at work on pre-production for their debut full-length album for a little while now. They’ve been soliciting fan requests in the process, and have posted a pretty cool one today. It’s for “The Airplane Song,” which appears in its original form on Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers‘s 2018 debut full-length, Bought To Rot. Check out their unique rendition of it below!

The Bad Signs’ forthcoming full-length album will serve as the follow up to their 2017 Record Store Day EP, Black Magic Moments.

The new video for “I Hate Chicago,” the latest single off Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers album, Bought to Rot, is a fun parody of, and tribute to, Wayne’s World. The scathing song about hating Chicago due to a bad breakup is perfectly paired with the video – check it out below.



Laura Jane Grace + the Devouring Mothers debut “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” video, announce full US tour with Mercy Union, Control Top

Lots of fun and exciting music from Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers, and that’s pretty awesome in our book. First, in case you hadn’t heard, their first full US tour for next spring. Slated to kick off March 16th, the tour runs all the way through late April, and features support from New Jersey favorites Mercy Union and Philly’s Control Top, making for a trio of bands that are going to have a kick-ass 2019. As you should know by now, “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” was the lead single from Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers’ debut full length album, Bought To Rot, which was released earlier this month on Bloodshot Records.

On November 9th Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers will put out their debut album “Bought To Rot” but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until then to hear it. The band is streaming the entire thing with NPR and you can check it out here.

Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers is fronted by Against Me’s Laura Jane Grace and features Atom Willard (also from Against Me!) on drums. Fans of Against Me! 



Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers stream “Reality Bites” off upcoming album “Bought To Rot””

On November 9th Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers will come out with their first album “Bought To Rot”. They released their third track “Reality Bites” from the album today which you can listen to below. 

Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers is fronted by Against Me’s Laura Jane Grace and features Atom Willard (also from Against Me!) on drums and Marc Jacob Hudson on bass. Fans of Against Me! will be happy with the songs heard from this project so far. The three songs are unmistakably Laura Jane Grace songs, but with a bit more relaxed attitude.

Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers are to release their debut album Bought To Rot on November 9th via Chicago’s Bloodshot Records. Following recent single “Apocalypse Now (And Later)”, the band are streaming another advance track, “The Airplane Song”. Have a listen below.

New Music: Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers debut “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” from upcoming album “Bought To Rot”

Happy Hump Day, boys and girls!

One of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2018 not only has a name and a release date, but it’s got a lead single as well! It comes from Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers, the newly-formed outfit centered around — you guessed it — Against Me! bandleader Laura Jane Grace. Grace is joined on drums in the new project by Against Me! drummer Atom Willard and on bass by Marc Jacob Hudson, recordist and mixer at Michigan’s Rancho Recordo and Against Me!’s sound engineer.

The band’s debut release is entitled Bought To Rot, and is due out November 9th on Chicago’s Bloodshot Records. Check out the lead single, “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” below.
