Stray From The Path (hardcore, NY) announce new album “Internal Atomics” and tour, debut new single “Kickback”

Stray From The Path, one of the most enduring bands in Long Island hardcore, have announced their ninth full-length album, Internal Atomics, out November 1 via UNFD. Internal Atomics is ten tracks fueled by the same politically-charged passion and furious energy that have kept Stray From The Path going strong for almost two decades. Through this album they hope to provide both a release and a call to action for listeners, aiming to mobilize them against apathy, corruption, and the misplaced priorities of past generations. To that end they’re debuting “Kickback”, a single off the forthcoming album that features Counterparts‘ Brendan Murphy on vocals.

“Counterparts have been brothers to us for nearly a decade. We came up together, and we support each other in our careers,” said Stray From The Path of the collaboration. “We’re lucky to be able to have Brendan feature on our new song ‘Kickback’ and do our first tour on our new albums together. We also got to do some stupid/fun stuff with Counterparts making a mystery cover 7” and offer it with both of our albums and tickets to our tour together.”

To celebrate both bands’ new releases, Stray From The Path and Counterparts will be embarking on a North American tour together in October, immediately followed by a solo tour across the U.K. and Europe for Stray From The Path. Listen to “Kickback” and check out the tour dates below.

Stray From The Path (hardcore) cast their vote with “The House Always Wins” video

Long Island hardcore band Stray From The path has released a video for their new single “The House Always Wins” from there upcoming album on Sumerian Records.

With everything going on with this election year its no surprise some great songs are about to come out. Heres what they have to say about the state of affairs and some insight to the new song,

“It almost seems that this election was begging for us to take a swing at it. We watched Trump bid for the Republican candidacy against people like Cruz and Christie….we watched Hillary actually steal the Democratic candidacy from a guy who was drawing millions of people around the country, and funding his campaign off of millions of donations averaging at $27, from real people…while Hillary was drawing crowds of less people than Stray From The Path can draw at a random show in Tennessee?”

“It was wrong. These two candidates are wrong. A two party program is wrong. We have a circus going on while Native Americans at the Dakota Access Pipeline are victims of terrorism at the hands of the oil companies that purchase this election. Not a word about it from anybody. No help.”

“This band has always been an outlet for our frustrations with this planet, and we couldn’t wait for our next full length to get this one out. There are people who feel the same way as us, and I hope this song can open some minds up about the people they look to as leaders…ask themselves…do they actually give a shit about my life? Or would they sell me out in a second to further their agenda. The answers are not always pretty, and sometimes hard to accept…but in the end of the day, The House Always Wins.”
