Snuff streaming new song “Hey Boff”off upcoming album

Punk vets Snuff are streaming the second new track off their upcoming album There’s A Lot Of It About. “Hey Boff” is a catchy, fast-paced, 90’s punk masterpiece. As a huge fan of 90’s punk I am really amped for some new Snuff. Due out September 20th on Fat Wreck Chords, don’t sleep on this one, it promises to be an album of the year candidate.

Pirates Press Records announces lineup for Rock The Ship

Pirates Press Records has announced the lineup for its four night run of shows called Rock The Ship. It will be in the Bay area and will begin Thursday October 17th and finish up Sunday October 20th. Some of the acts for this years event are: Cock Sparrer, Subhumans, CJ Ramone, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Off With Their Heads, The Bar Stool Preachers, The Old Firm Casuals and Charger. Wait! There’s more! Pirates Press Records has also saved a few surprise announcements for Rock The Ship, which we can look forward to in the upcoming weeks.

Rarity (punk) streaming new single “A Numbness”

Hamilton-based punk outfit Rarity is streaming the first single “A Numbness” off of their upcoming album The Longest Lonesome. After some trials and tribulations the Canadians have regrouped, re-tooled, and are back with a new lease on punk. The Longest Lonesome will be released August 30th through New Damage Records, and if the first single is any indication, this promises to be a great new album.

This is the first new music from Rarity since the 2016 release of I Couldn’t Be Weaker. If you’re a fan of Thrice, you will no doubt enjoy these guys.



New video from The Menzingers, “America (You’re Freaking Me Out)”

With a rather timely song, The Menzingers have released a new single from their upcoming album, Hello Exile, which is out October 4th on Epitaph Records. Of the song and video, the band says: “We’re living in a pretty insane time, where all you can think about every single day is ‘What the hell is going on with this country?’” says vocalist Greg Barnett. “But as I was writing that song I realized that it’s kind of always freaked me out, especially coming-of-age during the Iraq War. I love so much about America, but I think you can’t deny that there are some people in power who are absolutely evil.”

Hard to argue with that. You can watch the brand-new video below.



The Lillingtons are in the studio

The Lillingtons have announced, via Instagram, that they are recording new material. With a simple post that said, “Called in the heavy hitters for this one” we now know we have some new music from the band to look forward to. Nice. What this means or when it is to come, we don’t know yet, but the band’s last release was Stella Sapiente in 2017.

 

 

 



Face To Face Stream “Bent But Not Broken” From Upcoming “Live In A Dive” Release

Back in the early days of 1998, Face To Face put out a live album that remains atop my personal list of premier punk rock live albums of all time. More than two decades later, they’re going to put that to the test.

The SoCal punk staples have been announced as the latest band featured in Fat Wreck ChordsLive In A Dive series. The twelve-song, single LP release features tracks from across the band’s nearly three-decade career, performed over the course of three nights at Brooklyn’s St. Vitus earlier this year. You can whet your whistle with the first single, “Bent but Not Broken,” right here.

Face To Face’s Live In A Dive release is due out October 18th; you can pre-order it right here!



Booze & Glory Announce New Album, “Hurricane”

Good news, street punk fans…new Booze & Glory is coming by the end of the year!

The UK-based quartet have announced October 18th as the release date for their long-awaited fifth studio album. It’s called Hurricane, and the band will be releasing it via their own Scarlet Teddy Records. Hurricane was recorded by Millencolin’s Mathias Farm, and closes with the six-minute epic “Too Soon,” which you may have seen the video for here.

Hurricane marks Booze & Glory’s first album since 2017’s Chapter IV. Stay tuned for more info!

Dallas punks, Bullet Machine just released a high-octane new music video for their single, “Death Race 2000” off the album Knuckle Supper, which was released earlier this year. Stream the video for “Death Race 2000” below.

Somos announce passing of guitarist, and release of new album

Boston’s Somos recently suffered a terrible loss when their guitarist Phil Haggerty passed away last week.  To celebrate his life and to help out Phil’s family, the band opened up the pre-orders for their upcoming album early, with all the proceeds going to cover the funeral expenses.  We are a little late in getting this news to you, but are happy to report the band already raised enough money to cover those expenses.  The band has kept the pre-order up, with all remaining proceeds going to the Heather Heyer Foundation.

If you want to pay your respects and help out a great cause, take a listen to the two songs the band has released, and consider pre-ordering a copy of Prison On A Hill, which is set to be released on September 27th via Tiny Engines.  You can listen to “Mediterranean” and “Dreamless” below.

Jason Cruz announces Fine Art Exhibition in Los Angeles

Legendary Strung Out front man Jason Cruz recently announced a free all-ages artist reception on October 25th at the Copro Nason Gallery in Los Angeles.  The event is being held to celebrate the release of Jason’s new children’s book, “There Are Such Things As In Your Dreams.”

The event will also feature pro skateboarder Steve Caballero and an acoustic performance from Strung Out.  For more information, and to RSVP to the event, head over here!
