Good Charlotte release live video for ‘Self-Help’

Earlier this year MxPx released a full length and a video to go along with each track. It seems Maryland’s Good Charlotte are going for a similar move. Releasing a clip for each song on Good Charlotte’s Generation Rx, however, is not necessarily a daunting task given the album only has nine songs (one of which is a short intro). This time around, the band have put out a live video for ‘Self-Help’, which is one of the better songs on the album. Love them or hate them (with their Supreme-heavy wardrobes), they carry it off well, live. The video is below.

Good Charlotte released Generation Rx on September 14th this year.

Good Charlotte announce club shows and first album in 6 years

Recently reunited pop punk legends Good Charlotte have announced plans to release their first album in six years; it will preceded by its first single, which will debut on April 4th. About the album, the band states:

“The new album is like our previous albums in that it’s for people who love music and are constantly motivated and trying to live a rad life. Everyone has something to prove to themselves, waking up every day and deciding to change their life for the better and help others do the same. GC has always been about doing this together, motivating each other, finding the unity and energy that exists in taking life’s challenges and coming out on the other side. It’s about being inspired and excited to be both who you are and who you want to be.”

The still-untitled new album is expected to be released this summer through MMDN Records, and will be Good Charlotte’s first studio album since 2010’s Cardiology. The band also announced that, prior to the album’s release, they will play four club shows next month; the dates and locations are below.
