Slap of Reality (Punk, FL) Stream New Single “Gaslight”

Veteran Florida punks Slap of Reality are allowing fans to stream their latest single. The effort is titled “Gaslight” and is out now on A Jam Records. The single’s B-side is called “Never Far” and was actually the band’s first single on the label. DyingScene reported on the release earlier this year. You can listen to both tracks below.

The previous collection of tunes from Slap of Reality was the 1995 EP, Monkey Dust. Since their most recent reformation, the band have only released singles to date. However, they are reportedly working on a new EP at present.



DS Exclusive: The Problem Addicts premiere upcoming “Bad Breaks” LP

Breaking: Florida band, The Problem Addicts descend upon America with their new LP, Bad Breaks. Yes, we are aware this is probably the least bizarre news story you’ll hear come out of Florida today… Fully.

Bad Breaks releases tomorrow on A Jam Records but The Problem Addicts have been mindful enough to think Dying Scene readers ought to get a little taste of it first. It’s “Lonely nights and bad breaks, hospitals and heart breaks,” and goes well, with Murderburgers, early Alkaline Trio, and No Use For A Name.

The band was previously reviewed at Dying Scene (here) by my colleague Daron and honestly, I don’t think I could have said it better myself. “Me like good much, too.” With dope ass album art by Brian Burkes, Bad Breaks was produced, mixed and mastered by Matt Goings at Killian Studios. Slap Of Reality (melodic) signs to A Jam Records and releases new video

Florida melodic punks Slap Of Reality have signed on with A Jam Records. To celebrate the new union Slap Of Reality has released a video for their song “Never Far”. Having been around the “scene” for the better part of thirty years Slap Of Reality is a band you may not have heard of, but if you enjoy punk, do yourself a favor and go look these guys up. A Jam Records is hoping to see two new releases from the punk vets this year.

Dial Drive (Punk, FL) Stream “Parasite” From Forthcoming Album “Wasted Time”

Florida’s Dial Drive is giving you all another taste of their latest record ahead of its general release on March 8. The tune selected to put out as a single this time is titled “Parasite” and it’s available to stream below.

The release of the full record, Wasted Time, is being handled by A Jam Records.

“Parasite” is the second single from Wasted Time. “Friday Nightmare” was the first. It came out earlier this month.

Orlando, Florida’s Dial Drive have released “Friday Nightmare” from their forthcoming full length “Wasted Time”. The album is set to be released on March 8th through A Jam Records and features 10 new songs produced, recorded, and mixed by Brooks Daniel Paschal. Dial Drive (Punk, FL) to Release New Album “Wasted Time” in March

Orlando-based punk rock outfit Dial Drive have just completed their latest full-length album and it’s prepping to be released in March with A Jam Records.

It’s titled Wasted Time and will feature a total of 10 new tunes produced, recorded, and mixed by Brooks Daniel Paschal.

Nathan Durazzo, guitarist/singer of Dial Drive had the following to say about the record:

“It’s like getting shot in the dick with a shotgun. But in a good way! It’s a little heavy, a little poppy and some skankin’ songs”.



The Problem Addicts and RushmoreFL announce split EP “Order by Mail”

Beat obsolete (punk) streaming new single off of Self Titled album

Florida based Beat Obsolete are streaming the track “Civilized War” which is off of the band’s Self-Titled album. The new album was released yesterday on A Jam RecordsBeat Obsolete is Joe Koontz of Against All Authority’s new band. Heavy on the political lyrics and raw in power, taking it back to the days of DK.” The first track off the new album does not disappoint.

Introducing New Street Punk Act: Radio89 (full EP stream)

Yes, there are a good amount of street punk acts you haven’t heard yet, but here’s one that actually deserves your attention. If the opening guitar riffs of Revolution Red‘s title track doesn’t grab you by the short and curlies then you’ve never shaken your fist in the air at a punk rock show. Radio89 aren’t reinventing the wheel here, but holy hell it’s great to hear a younger band doing the sub-genre justice. Stream Revolution Red in full below.



Shakers sign with A Jam Records, stream exclusive single “16 Tons” off upcoming album “Not The Shakers”

Extending a big congratulations to our friends over in Shakers for their signing to A Jam Records.

These guys are now streaming a new single, “16 Tons” which comes fresh off of their upcoming album “Not the Shakers” and will be their first album with the new label.

Pat & Jon Stahl put the band together in 1994 and have been putting out punk jams since. Shakers brand of punk rock is a straight up blend of ’90’s style punk and hardcore. “Not the Shakers” will be released in September.

Beat Obsolete finishing up debut album

Our Florida friends Beat Obsolete have just dropped the news that they are finishing up recording on their debut album! According the band, “Beat Obsolete is Joe Koontz of Against All Authority’s new band. Heavy on the political lyrics and raw in power, taking it back to the days of DK.”
