Florida based Beat Obsolete are streaming the track “Civilized War” which is off of the band’s Self-Titled album. The new album was released yesterday on A Jam Records. “Beat Obsolete is Joe Koontz of Against All Authority’s new band. Heavy on the political lyrics and raw in power, taking it back to the days of DK.” The first track off the new album does not disappoint.

Yes, there are a good amount of street punk acts you haven’t heard yet, but here’s one that actually deserves your attention. If the opening guitar riffs of Revolution Red‘s title track doesn’t grab you by the short and curlies then you’ve never shaken your fist in the air at a punk rock show. Radio89 aren’t reinventing the wheel here, but holy hell it’s great to hear a younger band doing the sub-genre justice. Stream Revolution Red in full below.

These guys are now streaming a new single, “16 Tons” which comes fresh off of their upcoming album “Not the Shakers” and will be their first album with the new label.
Pat & Jon Stahl put the band together in 1994 and have been putting out punk jams since. Shakers brand of punk rock is a straight up blend of ’90’s style punk and hardcore. “Not the Shakers” will be released in September.

Orlando punks Dial Drive are continuing on their tour, Summer Riot which will wrap up on July 8. The boys are touring in support of their new EP “Viva Le’ Jit” (A Jam Records) which began in Orlando and will wrap up in Nashville, TN.
