Sonic Boom Six Announce November Tour Dates

Sonic Boom Six have announced UK tour dates for this November. The band are touring in support of their upcoming mini-album “Cardiac Address” which is due out later this month via Rebel Alliance Records. You can check out the dates below.

The band have described their upcoming album as “self-released, self-recorded, self-produced, and D.I.Y” and all of the profits made from pre-orders were used to get the band over to play Warped Tour.

Sonic Boom Six launch Pledge Music campaign; give away download of “The Boom Needs You!”

Sonic Boom Six has just launched a PledgeMusic campaign to help them raise funds for their upcoming fifth studio album, Operation Boombox. The band is offering plenty of incentives, ranging from limited T-shirts to a remix EP to drum lessons with drummer Neil McKinn. There’s even a chance to have your name tattooed on Sonic Boom Six frontwoman Laila K. You can check out the campaign here.

The band is also giving away free downloads of their song “The Boom Needs You!”, which was originally recorded as an appeal for their crowdfunding campaign. You can watch a live cut of the song below, and get your download in exchange for an email address, Tweet or Facebook share here.

If all goes according to plan, Sonic Boom Six will release Operation Boombox in early 2015 through Xtra Mile Recordings.



Sonic Boom Six release music video for title track of upcoming album “Karma Is A Bitch”

Manchester, UK progressive ska-punk / punk-hop band Sonic Boom Six is getting ready to their brand new single “Karma Is A Bitch” on Monday, June 17th through Xtra Mile Recordings. The single will be released digitally backed by a couple of brand new b-sides (track list here).

The band has just published a new music video for the title track, which you can check out here.

The single is off their recently released self-titled full-length put out through Xtra Mile Recordings.



Music Video: Sonic Boom Six – “Let’s Push Things Forward”

Potpourri punks Sonic Boom Six have released a music video for “Let’s Push Things Forward”. Originally by English hip-hop artist The Streets, the song is also the b-side to Sonic Boom Six’s current single “Keep On Believing”.

Joe Tilston of Random Hand releases solo album

Joe Tilston, the bassist of U.K. punk/ska outfit Random Hand, has released a solo album.  The solo album, “Embers,” is acoustic folk and can be streamed by clicking here.  If you like it be sure to buy it over here.

Sonic Boom Six release documentary “New Style Rockas”

The UK’s progressive ska-punk / punk-hop band Sonic Boom Six have just released a twelve-minute documentary titled “New Style Rockas” directed by Paul Atkinson.

The short film features live band footage, candid interviews, and more exploring the band’s history and future.

Manchester, UK based ska-punk-hip-hop Sonic Boom Six have posted the video for their new song “Sunny Side of the Street”. You can buy it from here and have a look at the video by clicking here. The summery track is a chilled out reggae number about their hometown of Manchester.

The track is only available as a CD single so far and is out on SB6’s own label, Rebel Alliance Recordings.



Music Video: Random Hand – “Bones”

British Skacore act Random Hand have premiered a music video for their song “Bones,” which I’m assuming is going to show up on their new album “Seething Is Believing.”  If you like ska infused punk rock, these guys are right up your alley.  Check out the video here.

The UK’s progressive ska-punk / punk-hop (?) band Sonic Boom Six have released a new track from their upcoming  album “Rude Awakening.”

Interview: Dying Scene gets to know Sonic Boom Six : Part 1 of 2

Manchester, England has been the birthplace of many influential bands including Joy Division, The Smiths, The Buzzcocks, and a plethora of other great musical acts. Sonic Boom Six has been working hard for the past eight years to place their name at the forefront of the Manchester music scene, and beyond, with their catchy fusion of ska/punk/dub/hip-hop/etc.

The band recently finished up their first US headlining tour with supporting act Knock-Out, and Dying Scene was able to sit down with the band at the legendary 924 Gilman Street venue in Berkeley. In the interview the band discusses their formation, and evolution over the years, as well as their musical influences and expectations for their first real US tour. Check it out here.

Due to the incredible awesomeness of the interview, we will be breaking it into two parts. Keep checking back for part 2 coming next week, where the band talks about memories from live shows and festivals, side projects, the formation of their own record label, Rebel Alliance Records, and what we can expect in the future from Sonic Boom Six.

Tour: Sonic Boom Six touring Europe and USA
