Face The Fax throw in the towel, offer free download of new (and final) song “Dreaming of Mist”

After 11 years together, Belgian skate punks Face The Fax have announced they will be throwing in the towel, and to bring things to a close, they’ve released one final song. Check out the music video below, and head over here to download it for free.

Here’s what the band had to say about their decision to call it a day:

“So, here it is: a brand new song and the clip that goes with it!

This one comes an additional message, though: This song and video will be the very last thing we’ll launch at your senses. What? You’ve read that right: after 11 years of trashing about, FTF is done.

Why? Who knows? Our aging bones might’ve gotten too slow for the fast lane. Our egos might not be able to cope with the growing lack of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll. One of our managers might have informed each other that one of us.is.out. Or all of us might just be ready to move on and try something else. Most, if not all of us, are already working on new noise in other bands, so you definitely won’t have to miss any of our post-show fragrances.

Of course, after a decade, we can safely say that this band has been a huge part of our lives. We’ll be eternally grateful for the places we’ve been and the people we’ve met on the way. Here’s to everyone that danced along and sang to our tunes, released our EP’s and albums, recorded our songs, put on stages, let us freeload on their booze and went on the road with us.

See you around, Faxateers. FTF out.”

Face To Fax’s final full-length album Basic Human Wrongs was released in 2013 through Funtime Records. That album, along with the rest of the band’s discography can be heard on their Bandcamp page.
