United Nations announce West Coast tour dates

Screamo/post-hardcore supergroup United Nations (most notably featuring Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly, but also currently featuring members of The Lovekill, and Pianos Become the Teeth) have announced a handful of western US tour dates that’ll keep them busy for the first few weeks of November. Check out the rundown below.

Earlier this week, screamo/post-hardcore supergroup United Nations (most notably featuring Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly, but also currently features members of The Lovekill, and Pianos Become the Teeth) played at show at St. Vitus in Brooklyn, NY. Before the show began, Saturday Night Live cast member Vanessa Bayer got up on stage and performed a roast of the band and luckily for all of us, someone caught it on tape. You can watch the roast below.

Oh, it should also be noted that Vanessa Bayer is the sister of United Nations member, Jonah Bayer. This is also not her first time making fun of a punk band.

Coliseum announce fall tour dates

Louisville punks Coliseum have announced some North American tour dates they will be playing over the course of the next few weeks.

Coliseum to record with J. Robbins

Louisville punk act Coliseum have announced that they will be traveling to Baltimore, MD this week to record a new album with J. Robbins. The album will be the group’s fourth record, and follows last November’s “Parasites” EP. Stay tuned for more news.

The group’s last full length release, “House With a Curse” was released in 2010.

Recently reunited post-hardcore pioneers, Moss Icon, have posted a digital version of their new “Complete Discography” album, a compilation of all of their songs. (or, in the case of the digital version, most of their songs).

Coliseum offering “House With A Curse” demos for free download

Kentucky punk ‘n rollers, Coliseum, are offering a free download of their “House With A Curse” demos recorded in October 2009 by Kevin Ratterman at The Funeral Home in Louisville, KY. Final versions of the songs were recorded by Kevin during the February 2010 sessions for “House With A Curse,” with the exception of “Bullet.” “Bullet” was included on the Coliseum / Superchunk Record Store Day 2011 split 7″ and the final version of “Gone With The Pope” included on the Parasites EP.
