The Scandals stream new version of “Sirens”

New Jersey punks The Scandals have released a new recording of their song “Sirens” which, according to the following quote from frontman Jared Hart, is about riots in Philadelphia following the Phillies’ 2008 World Series victory over my Tampa Bay Rays :(…

“This version of ‘Sirens’ is a new take on an older song. It’s a song that has been in the set since 2010 but I never thought the recording of it did the song justice. It’s about a long night spent in Philadelphia after the Phillies won the World Series. The city was turned upside down and I have pictures of some of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. Throw in some riot police and burning cars and you get a night that was memorable enough to put into song.”

The track is taken from the band’s upcoming split with Plow United, which is set to be released on July 7th via Artistic Integrity Records. You can give it a listen below.

Dan Andriano has announced that he is working on the next album by his solo project, Dan Andriano In The Emergency Room. He wasn’t too clear on any specifics, simply just stating that the album will be released “soonish”. Here are his exact words:

“I’m so bad at keeping up with this stuff… Asian Man Records just texted me and said, “You haven’t made a Facebook post in over 10 months!”… Oh well.

There is some news though… I started working on a new record for The Emergency Room this week. I’m sort of in Pro Tools update limbo, so that’s not helping… But I’m finding some work arounds. The point is, new record out sometime soon(ish)… Here’s a picture of some sounds.

XO ~ DMA”
