Winnipeg punk act Clipwing has just released a new track from their upcoming album, “Ashford”. The band recently completed work on the new EP, with a little engineering help from Chris Hannah of Propagandhi.

Clipwing announces departure of drummer Steve Jowsey

Bummer news from the Clipwing camp today.

The Winnipeg-based four-piece punk band are now a Winnipeg-based three-piece punk band for the time being; drummer Steve Jowsey has left the band. Here’s the official statement:

It is with a heavy heart and mixed emotions that we announce Steve Jowsey’s last show on drums will be December 27th at the Park Theatre for Mobina Galore’s CD release. 

This is purely amicable and we wish Steve all the best in his future endeavours. Please join us for our first show in many months, and the most important one in a long time.

Clipwing’s first release was their split with French punks, Icons Down!, which was released in July 2013 through The Newform Label.

Winnipeg  punk act Clipwing, will begin tracking songs for a new album this weekend, which will be released this fall through The Newform Label, No Reason Records, Coffeebreath and Heartache Records as well as LaserLife Records.

This will be the second release following their split with French punks, Icons Down!, which was released on July 30th through The Newform Label.
