Cancer Bats announce August UK tour

Following a recent appearance at Slam Dunk Festival, Cancer Bats have announced a UK tour for August 2019, playing some relatively intimate rooms around festival appearances. The band are supporting the release of their recent album “The Spark That Moves”, and will be joined on the road by Incite.

Here’s (exactly) what Cancer Bats frontman Liam Cormer had to say on the tour: “IT’S SUMMER FESTIVAL SEASON !!!! WE’RE EXCITED TO PLAY SOME BIG OL’ BANGERS BUUUUT here’s the thing, we really only book these fests to give you all an excuse to RAGE ALL OUR FAVOURITE SMALL TOWNS!!! THESE SHOWS ARE GONNA BE NUUUTS ! LET’S GET SWEATY ! LET’S GET WILD! LET’S TEAR THESE SHOWS UP !!!!!”

GWAR (Alien Metal, Outer Space) Stream Video for “Viking Death Machine”

The extraterrestrial thrashers of GWAR have just released a video for their track “Viking Death Machine”. The tune features on the band’s 14th studio record, The Blood of Gods and you can check it out below.

The band’s lead vocalist, Blothar, had the following to say about the new video:

“Humans, are you ready to ride the ‘Viking Death Machine’? Our latest video is a faithful animated schlockumentary depicting my harrowing, blood-drenched defeat of the Load Warriors and the other denizens of Saturday morning raceway hijinks, including all of my fellow bandmates in GWAR. Cancer Bats, Flatliners and Heart Attack kids announce pair of shows

What would a Tuesday be without a reference to maple syrup, Celine, or poutine? So here we go, pull out the good syrup, throw on some Celine and head to your favorite fry truck because Cancer Bats, The Flatliners and Heart Attack Kids have announced a pair of shows in Kingston and Barrie for September.

No word on if these guys will extend the tour beyond these two dates but it’s probably a safe bet. So if you want to check these guys out in an intimate setting join me on September 20th in Kingston, Ontario at The Mansion for a great show.

The most recent release from the Cancer Bats is The Spark That Moves released earlier this year.

Twitching Tongues stream new song “Kill For You”

Twitching Tongues are getting set to release their new album Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred, and they are streaming their first single, “Kill For You,” now.  You can check it out below.

Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred is set to be released on March 9th via Metal Blade Records.  It will follow up Disharmony, which was released back in 2015.

Wovenwar have released a video for “Cascade” today. The video was directed/edited by the band’s own Nick Hipa (guitar). The track is taken from last year’s “Honor Is Dead”, released through Metal Blade Records.

Bloodclot (hardcore) premiere new video for “Kali”

Hardcore supergroup Bloodclot have released a new video for their track “Kali” off of their upcoming album Up In Arms, which is out July 14th on Metal Blade Records.

Vocalist John Joseph says “In this band we’re doing what each of us have always done: give it our all. We work hard, and we have a lot to say. Look around the planet – people are fed up with the corrupt ruling class. They destroy the planet and kill millions for profit, and the formula for our response is simple: Anger + applied knowledge = results. Don’t just bitch. Change it.”

Bloodclot, the band whose lineup really does justify the tag ‘supergroup’ (John Joseph of Cro-Mags, Joey Castillo and Nick Oliveri – both ex-QOTSA – and Danzig guitarist Todd Youth), have released a lyric video for the title track to their upcoming Metal Blade Records album, ‘Up In Arms’. GWAR share Kickstarter for comic book series “Orgasmageddon”

Virginia’s GWAR have announced the second phase of their Kickstarter campaign for their 4-issue comic book series, Orgasmageddon. The campaign raised $32,000 in the first phase, with massive demand calling for a second. The new campaign also includes an exclusive t-shirt design, signed art, limited edition rare pins, and other merch items from the band themselves.

The story follows the band as they trudge through the past after being trapped in time, killing and creating the expected amounts of gore as they tear through human history. The outer space group also incorporates their 1990s side project “X-COPS” and SAWBORG DESTRUCTO (their infamous nemesis) into the story line, calling for an intense and fast paced reading experience for comic lovers alike.

You can check out the Kickstarter here and view all of the extra perks they have set up for contributors. It officially closes on November 25th, so get in on the action while you can!

Serpentine Dominion (members of Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder) stream new song “The Vengeance in Me”

Metal supergroup Serpentine Dominion are streaming their first new song, “The Vengeance in Me.” The band is comprised of members, Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage), Shannon Lucas (former Black Dahlia Murder), and George Fisher (Cannibal Corpse) and is the culmination of various styles and 7 years of hard work in the making. The group is finally ready to burst on to the scene with this new, heavy, death metal-esque tune for your ears. You can give it a listen below.

This will be the band’s debut full-length, which is scheduled for release on October 28th, 2016 through Metal Blade Records.
