New dates leaked for potential final Slayer U.S. tour

Another December live show for Slayer‘s final U.S. tour has leaked out. The website Wegow says the band will perform its final shows in their home state of California: one is at the Fox Theater in Oakland on December 29th and the other is the recently-leaked New Year’s Eve show, which will take place at The Great Western Forum in Inglewood. Both shows will include support from Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Sacred Reich and Iron Reagan.

Slayer, who announced over a year ago that they would be embarking on their final world tour, released their most recent studio album Repentless in September 2015 on Nuclear Blast. It was their first album since 2009’s World Painted Blood, and their first one with Exodus guitarist Gary Holt as the replacement of the Jeff Hanneman, who died in 2013.

Slayer will reportedly play their last show in L.A. on New Year’s Eve

According to Metal Addicts, the website Wegow has listed what appears to be metal icons Slayer‘s final show in their hometown of Los Angeles. The show will reportedly take place on New Year’s Eve (December 31st) at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood and will be supported by the likes of Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Sacred Reich and Iron Reagan.

Terror confirmed as support for Converge European/UK dates

LA hardcore veterans Terror have been confirmed as tour support for Converge in Europe/UK this summer. You can see the dates below.

The band recently released their seventh studio album Total Retaliation through Nuclear Blast Records.



The Damned Things (Fall Out Boy, Every Time I Die, Anthrax, Alkaline Trio) release new single, “Cells”, and reveal album details

After nine years in the wind, The Damned Things have announced that they’re returned with the release of a new album. The “supergroup”, freshly revised with a lineup consisting of Keith Buckley – Vocals (Every Time I Die), Scott Ian – Guitar (Anthrax), Dan Andriano – Bass (The Alkaline Trio), Joe Trohman – Guitar (Fall Out Boy) and Andy Hurley – Drums (Fall Out Boy), will release “High Crimes” on April 26th through Nuclear Blast Records.

The band have dropped the first single “Cells”, which you can check out using the player below and in all the usual places.



Madball release video for “Freight Train”

New York hardcore legends Madball have released a music video for “Freight Train”, which can be viewed below. The track is taken from their recent album For the Cause, which was released back in June via Nuclear Blast.

Municipal Waste and High on Fire announce co-headlining tour of the US

Municipal Waste and High on Fire have announced a co-headlining tour of the US, set to kick off in November.  These shows will also feature Toxic Holocaust and Haunt.

Municipal Waste last released Slime and Punishment in 2017, while High on Fire are streaming a song off their upcoming album Electric Messiah, due out October 5.

Agnostic Front in pre-production with new album

Agnostic Front frontman Roger Miret was asked in a recent interview with Heavy New York if the band has started work on the follow-up to 2015’s The American Dream Died. Transcribed by Blabbermouth.net, this is what he said:

“Absolutely. We started pre-production on a couple of new songs. They’re coming out pretty badass; I’m happy with them because a lot of stuff is happening in the Agnostic Front camp. I just released my book, ‘My Riot’, that’s been a big thing and I did a tour around it, which is awesome. Now we have that film, ‘The Godfathers Of Hardcore’, which is going to be another level. There’s a lot of positive, good stuff coming out, but not just Agnostic Front, but New York hardcore, but hardcore worldwide. All this stuff is positive for our message, people that follow us, it’s good for hardcore, period.”

New York hardcore legends Madball release new album “For The Cause”, the follow up to 2014’s “Hardcore Lives”, on June 15th via Nuclear Blast. The band have uploaded the second in their “Behind The Cause” videos, a short YouTube clip from the studio where the album was recorded.
