Although seven years late, AFI have received what appears to be their second platinum plaque as their 2006 breakthrough album Decemberunderground has surpassed the one million sales mark. Go here to see the plaque. Congratulations, AFI!
Decemberunderground was released over exactly seven years ago (June 6, 2006) and follows their 2003 major-label debut album Sing the Sorrow, which also went platinum.
AFI released their last studio album, Crash Love, back in September 2009. In recent months, the band has been posting cryptic teaser videos, leading to speculation of a new album, or other types of activities involving AFI.
