I hate it when a band changes its name. It’s just confusing and not to mention a pain in the ass for music blogs who already have profiles set up for them under their former name. Well, that’s what Oakland pop-punk act Emily’s Army have done. Apparently they’re “slowly” changing their name to Swimmers. You can read some of their explanation for it below:
So there you have it. If they’re still considered pop-punk this time next year no one can say, but let’s at least hope their young adult selves get better at grammar (not that we can talk much).
Emily’s Army’s… errr…. Swimmers’ new EP Swim was released on July 22nd through Rise Records, who also handled the 2013 release of the band’s sophomore album Lost At Seventeen.
