Hunter Burgan reveals AFI is on hiatus (again)

Although it was revealed earlier this year that a new album was in the works, AFI bassist Hunter Burgan revealed that the band has been on hiatus (again), due to members focusing on other projects, but promises they will return soon. He explains:

“”When’s AFI coming to ______?” “When’s the next AFI record?” “You guys need to stop doing other things and do some AFI!” — Patience, my friends. AFI is an important part of our lives, but we’re all just human beings. We’ve got things to do and people to see. Sometime you have to stop and smell the roses to remember that you live in a neighborhood with a rosebush on the corner. We’ll be back soon, I promise.”

AFI have gone on hiatus before, most notably back in 2011 when fans believed that they were actually breaking up, which proved untrue. The band ended their hiatus in 2013, and released Burials, their first album in four years, that October.
