After years of speculation regarding their current status, Nitro Records (an indie label owned by The Offspring‘s Dexter Holland) is officially returning in the form of vinyl reissues. However, there have been no announcements whether the label will sign new acts.
It was announced last July that The Bicycle Music Company now has the rights to all recordings released on Nitro. Bands that have released recordings on the label include many notable punk bands such as AFI, Jughead’s Revenge, The Vandals, The Damned, TSOL and Guttermouth. Nitro also released the reissue of The Offspring’s 1989 self-titled debut album on CD for the first time in 1995 and again in 2001.
