Sum 41 have announced that, due to certain recurring medical issues, they will be forced to drop off their current Canadian tour with Billy Talent. Here’s a statement from the band:
“We are saddened to pass on the news that Deryck Whibley is struggling once again with his recurring back problems and so SUM 41 has made the tough decision of having to leave the Canadian Tour for the remaining shows. Those shows include Quebec City, Ottawa, Montreal, Moncton and Halifax.”
Sum 41 are no strangers to the transpiration of events such as these taking place, considering they’ve cancelled a handful of tours due to Deryck’s back problems in the past, so this news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The band last released Screaming Bloody Murder in 2011 on Island Records.
