There’s something fishy going in the The Offspring camp. Although not officially confirmed, Epitaph Records’ website is listing The Offspring as a “current artist” on their “all artists” page, leading to speculation that the band is back on their former label. Stay tuned for updates from the label or The Offspring themselves.
Epitaph was the label that released The Offspring’s 1994 famous album Smash, which became the label’s first album to be certified gold or platinum and has sold at least 15 million copies worldwide. The label also released their second album Ignition (1992) and a CD reissue of their 1989 self-titled debut album in 1995. In Europe, their fourth album Ixnay on the Hombre (1997) was released on Epitaph, while the U.S. version was released on Columbia.
The Offspring’s latest album Days Go By was released in June on Columbia Records.
