The Offspring bassist Gregory “Greg K.” Kriesel, who has been absent from performing with the band for several months, has filed federal lawsuit against two of his bandmates — vocalist/guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland and guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman — alleging trademark infringement and breach of partnership agreement over the rights to the Offspring name.

Although The Offspring have neither responded to the lawsuit nor released a statement regarding Greg’s current status as a member of the band, he is still listed as a member on both The Offspring’s Facebook page and their official website. During his absence from touring, Greg was initially filled in by No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal and currently stepping in for him is H2O guitarist and Offspring touring member Todd Morse.
Along with Dexter and Noodles, Greg is one of the three members to appear on all of The Offspring’s albums since their 1989 self-titled debut. It’s not clear if he did actually perform bass on the band’s long-waited upcoming tenth studio album, which will be their first since 2012’s Days Go By and is expected to be released later this year or next year.
