Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin revealed at the band’s concert at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts nearly two weeks ago (Friday, April 29) that the band will probably not record any more albums after the next one. He stated, “After this year you probably won’t be seeing much more of us. We’re going to try one more album and then all join the navy, do honest work.”
Let’s hope it’s not true.
Bad Religion has gone on hiatus at least one time, most notably between 1983’s “Into the Unknown” and 1988’s “Suffer,” as Graffin attempted to move back to his hometown in Wisconsin to get instate-tuition at Madison. He eventually had to move back to Los Angeles as he wasn’t allowed to take part in the academic program as a non-Wisconsin resident. Instead he enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he got his Bachelor of Arts in biology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology. In 1987 he received his Master of Science in Geology before doing some field work in North, Central and South America. During that period, the other members of the band were busy with various side projects or continued going to school.
