Morocco was formed in 2020 by friends Ben Sanchez (guitar, vocals) and Forrest Cook (drums, vocals). The duo released their debut The Cheap Mic EP in 2021 on Cluttered Desk Records, followed by their second EP Been Smart, Ben Dumb in 2022. Longtime friend Bob Crash became the bassist shortly thereafter. The band’s name is derived geographically from the movie Casablanca.
