Longtime Green Day producer Rob Cavallo recently told Kerrang! that he has heard demos of new material from the iconic pop punk band and says they sound “fantastic”. This implies that Cavallo is going to produce the next Green Day record. He states:
“I recently heard five new songs that Billie has written and demoed. Let me tell you, they were just fantastic. He is absolutely at the top of his game. Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing.”
Green Day last released a trilogy of albums, entitled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, in 2012 on Reprise Records.
